‘RHOC’: Did Andy Cohen Drop Sad Hint About Vicki Gunvalson’s Future on the Show?

Vicki Gunvalson is an original cast member of The Real Housewives of Orange County. The reality star claims ownership of the show as she says the idea of the franchise was developed around her. Gunvalson was demoted from a full-time housewife to a “friend of” in season 14, which was difficult for her. Andy Cohen, the producer of Real Housewives, might have just hinted that the insurance maven will not be returning anymore.

What did Andy Cohen say about ‘RHOC’ casting?

Cohen was a guest on Jeff Lewis Live where he spilled the tea on casting for season 15 of RHOC.

“I will tell you this. The casting for next season is some of the best casting we’ve had,” Cohen told Lewis. “I have not been this excited about casting in a long time.”

The Bravo producer and television host said that he liked Braunwyn Windham-Burke, who does not get along with Gunvalson. Lewis suggested one of the “Tres Amigas” had to go which includes Shannon Beador, Tamra Judge, and Gunvalson.

“No matter how it shakes out, it’s going to be great because we have great casting. It’s hard to make moves when you don’t have a bench, both on the show and casting wise,” Cohen added.

Is Vicki Gunvalson leaving?

Fans are speculating that in the interview, Cohen might have suggested that Gunvalson might not be coming back for season 15. The OG of the OC has been a major player and as the cast is shaken up, hard decisions have to be made.

“What I mean is, it’s like Bethenny leaving, it’s like Vanderpump leaving… there’s already a great bench of superstars,” Cohen said. “So ultimately, you’re upset that those people are leaving. You might have to make a hard call on Orange County, but there are great people on the show right now and there are great people waiting. You have to figure it out.”

Cohen added to the theory when he said he talked to Gunvalson about not relying on television forever.

“As I have told Vicki Gunvalson before, we all cannot rely on television as our careers. They’re going to tell us all [to go],” Cohen continued.

Could it be that Cohen is already laying the groundwork to break the news to Gunvalson that she will not be asked back to RHOC?

Vicki Gunvalson gives an ultimatum

Gunvalson had a hard time accepting her demotion last season on RHOC. Having been featured as a “friend of” was not easy for the reality show star. She recently revealed that she would not return to the series if she was not given a full-time role.

“First of all, when they told me I was going to have a reduced role, I said, ‘I’m never a Friend. I started this franchise. I’m never going to be a Friend.’ They said, ‘We’ll never use those words.’ And they’ve been using those words,” Gunvalson told Entertainment Tonight. “I will never come back part-time. I’m either all in or all out. I’m not a part-time girl.”

“I run a big insurance company and I’m having my best year ever with that. What gives me more peace, you know, I love Bravo and I love my journey here, but they’re not ever going to do this to me again, because I don’t deserve that,” Gunvalson added.

No casting decisions have been made for season 15 of RHOC. Production for the reality series is set to start in the first months of 2020.
