‘RHOC’: Emily Simpson Calls Braunwyn Windham-Burke ‘Inauthentic’ and Says Why Cast Unfollowed Her
Emily Simpson of The Real Housewives of Orange County has a fiery personality and it’s no wonder fans have grown to love her. The Bravo star has been open about her marital troubles as well as her weight problems. Simpson puts it all out there for viewers to accompany her on her journey and she’s now calling out one of her co-stars. The attorney recently unfollowed Braunwyn Windham-Burke from social media as she feels she’s been “inauthentic.”
Why is Emily Simpson upset at Braunwyn Windham-Burke?
Simpson returned to RHOC Season 15, her third year on the show. With Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge gone, the dynamics of the group shifted dramatically. Although Simpson and Windham-Burke didn’t particularly have a solid friendship, they were cordial with each other. Things have now gotten personal, so personal that Simpson ended up unfollowing her from social media.
“She’s not talking to any of us because we all unfollowed her,” the mother of three told Entertainment Tonight about the cast cutting ties with Windham-Burker. “Each one of us kind of unfollowed her for different reasons, and on our own terms.”
The unfriending occurred after the cast filmed the RHOC finale and Simpson saw something she didn’t like.
“It was the last time that we were allowed, all six of us, to be together and I just I didn’t particularly like the way she acted and the way things went down,” Simpson added. “I didn’t block her or anything. I just unfollowed and, you know, there’s a lot of things that need to be resolved with her.”
“I’ve got [the] materials. You name it, I’ve got it,” Simpson continued. “I’m an attorney, so I analyze things and I like facts. I don’t think anybody should jump on someone else out of emotions or anything like that. So, I do have a very factual, analytical argument as to things that she’s done that I find completely inauthentic and, you know, I’m ready and willing to address those.”
Tamra Judge calls Emily Simpson ‘dead weight’
Tamra Judge, who was cut from RHOC after 12 years, didn’t have the best opinion on Simpson. After the real estate agent was axed from the Bravo reality series she made an appearance on David Yontef’s Behind the Velvet Rope podcast. Judge spilled the tea on her former co-stars and claimed Simpson “didn’t belong on the show.”
“I think Emily [is] dead weight on the cast,” Jude said. “Two years, usually your first year you get a break, but I don’t know. I think Gina [Kirschenheiter] speaks her mind; she’ll be honest and speak her mind. She’s not gonna play these little games, and she’s not afraid of anybody.”
“Emily was always really nice to our face, but then she’d get in her confessionals and say things. It’s like, well, wait a minute. … A good housewife says it to your face, not just behind a camera.”
Judge went on to say that she didn’t feel there was “a whole lot of interesting stuff going on” in Simpson’s life to bring her back to RHOC.
The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 15 airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
