‘RHOC’: Emily Simpson Slams Vicki Gunvalson With Savage Tweet
Vicki Gunvalson announced she was leaving The Real Housewives of Orange County but the drama is still following her. The OG of the OC will not be appearing in season 15 of the Bravo reality series but she still has a bone to pick with Emily Simpson. The latter will be going into her third season as a housewife and is taking a savage jab at Gunvalson.
How did the Twitter feud start?
The Twitter feud between Gunvalson and Simpson stems back from a tweet back in December. Gunvalson was reacting to an episode that had just aired and mentioned Simpson on the tweet.
“Watched [RHOC] last night and was shocked to hear [Simpson] bash me about my age of 57,” Gunvalson tweeted. “Referencing my as ‘old, I should be in a convalescent home, and geriatric.’ Really? I can’t change my [date of birth] and you will get there too.”
At the time, a fan replied to Gunvalson’s tweet saying Simpson was spending “too much time with the vile Kelly Dodd.” Gunvalson then replied, “Yep, she drank the kool-aid.”
In a tweet dated December 12, 2019, Simpson tweeted, “And by ‘drank the kool-aid’ you mean I didn’t turn on Kelly and hate her like the three of you wanted me to do. Your agenda was to turn everyone on the cast against Kelly and ice her out so she would be fired. I didn’t fall for it.”
Gunvalson didn’t reply to that tweet until recently and the feud fired up once again.
“Liar,” Gunvalson wrote. “I never once wanted anyone to turn against Kelly. My issue with her was between her and I. Nice try girl. You and I never spoke about Kelly and in fact, we never spoke.”
Simpson did not hold back and added, “It’s actually ‘between her and me’ but they probably didn’t teach you that at insurance school.”
“Your [sic] an idiot,” Gunvalson then said.
“You’re fired,” Simpson quipped, correcting Gunvalson’s spelling and reminding her she is not on RHOC anymore.
Vicki Gunvalson is leaving ‘RHOC’
Gunvalson shocked fans last week when she announced she was retiring from RHOC after 15 years. The news came after Gunvalson was demoted in season 14 to a “friend.” The insurance maven had said that she wouldn’t return to the show if she wasn’t offered a full-time contract again.
“I will always be the OG of the OC, but it’s time to say goodbye to The Real Housewives of Orange County,” Gunvalson wrote on Instagram. “It’s been an incredible ride for 14 years and I want [to] thank all of you for your support, for your love and for ‘whooping it up’ with me along the way.”
Gunvalson said that she was not completely done with media and confirmed she was launching a podcast soon.
“I’ve been working on new projects that will be exciting, empowering and inspirational,” she continued. “My podcast with Westwood One will be launching soon and I will have much more to say about this on Whoop it up with Vicki. I hope you will join me on my new journey, so please stay tuned. I love all my fans, and I want to thank Bravo and Evolution for this incredible experience which my family and I have will never forget.”
Season 15 of RHOC is expected to start filming soon and air over the summer on Bravo.
