‘RHOC’: Why Gina Kirschenheiter Feels Braunwyn Windham-Burke Should Not Return for Season 16
Braunwyn Windham-Burke is having a whirlwind of a season on The Real Housewives of Orange County. The Bravo star revealed during season 15 that she was abusing alcohol and recently came out of the closet as a lesbian. Windham-Burke is also facing drama with her co-stars who have all unfollowed her from social media and have deemed her as “inauthentic.” Gina Kirschenheiter is one that is suggesting Windham-Burke not return for another season.
Gina Kirschenheiter and Braunwyn Windham-Burke feud
Although in the first part of RHOC Season 15 things between Kirschenheiter and Windham-Burke are seemingly OK, things will take a hard turn. By the end of the season, all the ladies have a fallout with the latter which led most of the cast to unfollow her.
The fallout could’ve been seen early on when Windham-Burke told Kirschenheiter, Shannon Beador had made a negative statement about her condo. Beador allegedly said it was small and “sad,” which she later denied when Windham-Burke confronted her.
“I truly do not understand how if Shannon said that or not, somehow that absolves Braunwyn of everything she’s been saying,” Kirschenheiter told People TV’s Reality Check. “I get frustrated because even if Shannon said this one comment, which is obviously unkind if she said it, Braunwyn was going around trashing me to everyone and now she’s trying to act like she’s a hero because she’s telling the truth about something Shannon said.”
Kirschenheiter said that she is confident in her home and suggested that Windham-Burke tried to take a jab at her and fly under the radar.
“I think she tried to take a shot and take a go at me hoping that I’m as insecure as she is. But I’m just not,” she added.
Gina Kirschenheiter suggests Braunwyn Windham-Burke leave
As Windham-Burke faces multiple things going on in her life at the same time, Kirschenheiter feels that it might be too much to deal with in front of the camera. In a recent interview, the mother of two suggested Windham-Burke quit the show.
“I think that Braunwyn is still going through a lot with this sobriety and emotionally and her airing out her marriage and her sexual confusion, stuff like that. These are major things to go through and I don’t know if [RHOC] is the right venue to go through those things in,” Kirschenheiter said on Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap.
Despite not wanting Windham-Burke to return for RHOC Season 16, Kirschenheiter did suggest she be given her own show to explore her journey. Furthermore, fellow castmate Kelly Dodd also hinted that Windham-Burke had been shooting to get a spinoff. Dodd recently called out the latter for faking her sobriety just for a storyline.
“I think her whole sobriety thing is contrived and I think it’s fake,” Dodd said on Watch What Happens Live. “I know her well enough that this was a pre-plotted thing that she wanted to do to get her own show. She already had this planned, she wanted to get her own show. Her talent agent told her to stop drinking… it’s all contrived. I don’t believe she is a real alcoholic.”
There’s no word as to what will have to Windham-Burke or if any of the other ladies will be returning for another season of RHOC. Fans can continue watching the drama unfold on The Real Housewives of Orange County, every Wednesday night at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
