‘RHOC’: Kelly Dodd Confirms Engagement to Rick Leventhal, Housewives React
Kelly Dodd from The Real Housewives of Orange County has confirmed she is engaged to Rick Leventhal. The Bravo star made the news official on Instagram with a video of her ring and the romantic setting she was proposed to. Her fellow Housewives celebrated the news with her with their best wishes.
“I can’t believe I just got engaged!” she wrote on Instagram. “Rick Leventhal, you are my prince and my dream come true.”
The controversial housewife had documented her trip to New York City earlier today on social media. Dodd ended up surprising all her followers with news she was set to wed the Fox News correspondent.
“I’m so happy for you”, fellow RHOC co-star Braunwyn Windham-Burke wrote. “Can’t wait to see you tomorrow and celebrate.”
“Yay! Congrats! Can’t wait to celebrate tomorrow,” Emily Simpson from RHOC wrote.
Former Orange County housewife Gretchen Rossi added, “Ahh congrats love. That’s so exciting.”
Barbara Kavovit, who was featured on RHONY also sent her best wishes writing, “OMG –amazing– congrats Kelly and Rick.”
Will Rick Leventhal film for ‘RHOC’?
Season 14 of RHOC has already concluded filming and Leventhal was not featured. During production Dodd was in a romantic relationship with Dr. Brian Reagan, who made recurring appearances on the show.
It would not be far-fetched to think that the newsman and the housewife would showcase their love in the upcoming season of the show.
One of Dodd’s fans suggested she not expose Leventhal to the show as her co-stars might be mean to him.
“Keep him OFF the Housewives and you’ll be fine…We don’t need the ‘pot stirrer’ Tamra [Judge] or Icky Vicki [Gunvalson] around him,” the fan suggested.
Kelly replied back, “Agreed.” When another viewer told Leventhal to not “screw it up” he responded, “Not a chance.”
Leventhal and Dodd meat each other this past summer shortly after the latter split from her surgeon boyfriend.
“We met in the Hamptons,” Dodd told People. “It’s new, we haven’t even had sex. But he’s already treated me with more respect than Brian ever did.”
With their relationship taking the next step, Dodd doesn’t discard quitting RHOC and crossing over to RHONY.
Dodd is already friends with Ramona Singer from the NYC franchise and has been spending a lot of time together since Leventhal’s job is based in the Big Apple.
When a fan suggested she “move to NY and join RHONY,” Dodd replied, “would be a dream.”
Kelly Dodd had a rough breakup
Dodd’s complete happiness comes months after her rough breakup from Dr. Reagan.
“The universe is telling me I broke up with Dr. Brian, woo! And they all know why” the Bravolebrity said on her Instagram Stories back in August. “This is why I’m breaking up with Brian for good. This is the last time. No going back to this a–hole. At all.”
Dodd followed up with a since-deleted Instagram post with the following caption: “Dr. Brian Reagan posted what we broke up. I’m deeply saddened and I only wish him the best. Good luck, you are a talented surgeon. I loved you deeply. See Rick Leventhal, we broke up.”
With that sad past behind her, Dodd is now ready to start a new life with Leventhal with blissful love.
