‘RHOC’: Kelly Dodd Is All for Bringing Tamra Judge Back but Not Vicki Gunvalson
There has been a lot of drama with the women on The Real Housewives of Orange County. Over the past few seasons, several big names have left the show. When Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson left RHOC, Kelly Dodd was not upset in the least. Now, she may have had a change of heart about one of the women.
Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson left ‘RHOC’
Gunvalson had been halfway out the door of RHOC for a while. She had already been demoted from a full-time position to a friend of the cast. In January, she announced that she was fully leaving the show.
“I will always be the OG of the OC, but it’s time to say goodbye to The Real Housewives of Orange County,” she wrote on Instagram. “It’s been an incredible ride for 14 years and I want to thank all of you for your support, for your love, and for ‘whooping it up’ with me along the way. I’ve been working on new projects that will be exciting, empowering, and inspirational. My podcast with Westwood One will be launching soon and I will have much more to say about this on ‘Whoop it up with Vicki.’ I hope you will join me with my new journey so please stay tuned. I love all my fans, and I want to thank Bravo and Evolution for this incredible experience which my family and I have will never forget. #bravo #rhoc #whoopitipwithvicki @westwoodone @bravo @whoopitupwithvicki.”
Shortly after Gunvalson’s announcement, news broke that Judge wasn’t returning either. Judge didn’t see her exit coming.
“I knew that it was going to be a difficult year for me to film because of Simon and the kids,” Judge told HollywoodLife. “I couldn’t imagine partying and drinking and going out. That was weighing heavy on me so, when I got the call, they were like, ‘Well, they decided to go in a different direction,’ and I was just shocked. I was like, ‘Well, what do you mean?’ And they were like, ‘Oh, well they wanted to give you a limited role,’ and I’m like, ‘No way.’ I didn’t want to do it.”
Kelly Dodd wants Tamra Judge back
At one point, Judge, Gunvalson, and Dodd were best friends. But by Judge and Gunvalson’s final season, their relationship with Dodd had gone about as far south as possible. But now, Dodd is open to Judge coming back to the show.
“If she wants to come back — Tamra and I, we used to talk every single day on the phone and then she did some pretty crappy things to me, but if she wants to come back and they want to bring her back, bring her back,” Dodd told HollywoodLife. “I’m happy to have her back if she wants to come back and they want to bring her. I don’t have any ill will feelings about Tamra at all.”
In contrast, Dodd wouldn’t be so happy to see Gunvalson return to RHOC.
“I don’t think Vicki fits into the group,” she said. “She just doesn’t. At least Tamra is pretty to look at, she’s got a good body, she’s got a good husband, she’s a go getter at things and she’s fun.”
