‘RHOC’ Star Gina Kirschenheiter is Already Talking Marriage With New BF Before Her Divorce is Even Finalized
Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter is wasting no time with her new boyfriend. Amid her ongoing divorce from her estranged husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, the reality star is already talking about marrying her new lover, Travis Mullen. They are only a few months into their relationship, yet Kirschenheiter says that Mullen has completely changed her mind about tying the knot again.
Gina Kirschenheiter spills on her new boyfriend
Before meeting Mullen, Kirschenheiter says that she was totally against getting remarried. The reality star viewed marriage as nothing more than a contract, and with one marriage in the dumps, she saw no reason to go through another one.
“I’m not doing that again. There’s no reason, I already have my children,” Kirschenheiter shared.
According to Page Six, Kirschenheiter’s relationship with Mullen changed her views on marriage and she is now open to the idea of walking down the aisle.
“Being in this new relationship has kind of opened my mind a little bit to possibly, maybe. So you never know,” Gina Kirschenheiter explained.
This past week, Kirschenheiter confirmed her relationship with Mullen by posting an adorable photo on Instagram. She later revealed that the romance was sparked a few months ago after they were introduced by a mutual friend.
While their relationship is new, Kirschenheiter revealed that they have spent a lot of time together. She also admitted that the romance took off faster than either of them expected, which explains why she’s already talking about marriage.
It also helps that Kirschenheiter and Mullen share a lot in common. Apart from similar interests in life, they both have children from previous relationships. Their kids are also around the same age, which makes things a lot easier.
What about Kirschenheiter’s divorce?
Although Gina Kirschenheiter is already moving on, her divorce from her first husband has not been finalized.
The RHOC star, who shares three children with her estranged husband, is hoping to finalize the divorce by December.
Fans can expect to learn more about Kirschenheiter’s divorce in the new season of RHOC. This includes more information about Matt Kirschenheiter’s affair, which proved to be the couple’s undoing.
While her romance with Mullen is going strong, fans might be disappointed to learn that he will not be appearing in front of the cameras. Kirschenheiter confirmed that Mullen is not involved in Bravo’s hit reality series and knew nothing about it going into the romance.
That does not mean Mullen will never appear on the show. If Kirschenheiter is invited back next season, there is always a chance that Mullen will have a few cameos.
Gina Kirschenheiter opens up about divorce
This past summer, Matt Kirschenheiter was placed under arrest after an altercation with Kirschenheiter inside their home. While police charged him with domestic violence and false imprisonment, the RHOC star wants her followers to understand that he is not all bad.
In a new interview, Kirschenheiter told People that she feels bad for her estranged husband, whom she feels like just made a few terrible decisions.
“There is a part of my heart that feels bad for Matt because he wasn’t really a part of this to begin with and he’s not a monster,” Kirschenheiter stated. “It’s an emotional time, and people make mistakes. He’s made a lot of them, obviously.”
Kirschenheiter is able to keep a positive attitude because she does not communicate with her ex on a personal level. Instead, they talk via a website. This puts a buffer between them and allows them both to remain civil.
Inside Matt Kirschenheiter’s abusive ways
Kirschenheiter originally met Matt Kirschenheiter in college. The two were married for eight years before calling it quits and filing for divorce in the spring of 2018.
At the time, they revealed that they had simply lost the love over the years. Although their marriage was ending, they were friendly towards each other and were committed to raising their three children: Sienna, Nicholas, and Luca.
Their relationship seemingly changed this past summer when the pair got back together. But a few days after their reconciliation, a heated argument turned violent.
Kirschenheiter claims that Matt Kirschenheiter choked her and threw her around the house after an argument got out of control. She also told police that he threatened her life.
To make things even worse, all three of their children were home during the altercation. Matt Kirschenheiter was arrested that night, and a judge granted Kirschenheiter a restraining order in the days that followed.
Matt Kirschenheiter has not responded to the reports surrounding his divorce.
