‘RHOC’: Vicki Gunvalson Drops Hints of New Reality Show With Tamra Judge
Vicki Gunvalson left The Real Housewives of Orange County after a 14 year run on the show. The OG of the OC had been demoted in season 14 to a “friend role” and was not asked back for season 15. Although it was difficult for Gunvalson to accept she would no longer appear on the Bravo reality series, she is moving along just fine. Things are so great that she is teasing a new show with former co-star Tamra Judge.
The main reason why Gunvalson ultimately talked herself that being fired from RHOC was a good thing, was because the show wasn’t showing her true self anymore.
“The show really got off course from what we were supposed to be doing,” Gunvalson told People in an interview. “In the beginning, it was about showing your real lives; your family, your friendships, your work. It was about really opening up and letting the world in. But it stopped being that and it started being about fighting. And they never showed my real life anymore. It just became fake. Why do you want to go on an internationally famous show and be mean? What we’re supposed to be doing is really helping each other! It’s a tough world out there!”
Gunvalson wants to showcase her life and how she helps out people in her insurance company.
“I want to show my real life,” Gunvalson added. “My real life is incredible, exhausting and exciting. I’m helping people every day in my business [Coto Insurance]. I’m a loving mother and grandma. I have this great relationship with [fiancé Steve Lodge]. That’s the reality of my life, not that fake stuff.”
What is her new show about?
On Instagram, Gunvalson and Judge teased fans when they both shared a picture. The photo of both former RHOC stars was of them sitting in the kitchen counter with cameras in front of them. Fans got excited at the prospect of the ladies filming something new together.
“It’s going to be an incredible show,” Gunvalson told People. “Tamra and I, we’re good together. We have great chemistry and we’re having fun. We’ve got a really special journey happening. It’s something that will really inspire people. I can’t say much more, but I know it’s going to be a show people love.”
Gunvalson didn’t reveal too many details of the show or where it will air. No timeframe was given as to when fans could watch both Housewives on TV again.
Vicki Gunvalson was approached for a new reality series
What is not clear is if the series she was filming with Judge is a spin-off for Bravo. During Gunvalson’s podcast premiere, she said the network approached her for a new show.
“Bravo did approach me with a new show. So, I’m entertaining that. It looks like I’ll be going on that. [It’s] really exciting who’s going to be on that with me,” she said on March 5 episode of Whoop It Up with Vicki.
When Gunvalson asked why she was fired, Andy Cohen told her she was not technically fired because she was not an employee.
“He says, ‘I didn’t fire you. You’re going to be on another show just stayed tuned. There’s lot of stuff coming up for you. We just needed to shift it up,’” Gunvalson said. “That’s a tough pill to swallow for somebody that created this show and created the franchise. I’m really still struggling with it but it’s only been a month since the news broke.”
