‘RHONJ’ Danielle Staub Engaged for the 21st Time Just a Week After Finalizing Her Divorce

Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Danielle Staub has found love…for the 21st time. The reality tv star got engaged to Oliver Maier on Thursday morning during their vacation in St. Barth.

The engagement comes just a week after her divorce from Marty Caffrey was finalized.

The newly bethrothed couple isn’t planning on wasting any time. They told People that once their vacation is over, they will pick up her ring at Van Cleef and then have a Justice of the Peace ceremony in NYC on Monday.

“I’m madly in love,” Staub told the outlet. “I’m feeling elated and excited for the next stage of my life. I’m going to marry the man of my possible dreams and hopefully I’ll spend the rest of my life in bliss.”

Along with love and wealth, Staub will also be getting a new title out of the marriage, as her hubby-to-be is the Duke of Provence. Marrying Maier would make Staub a Duchess.

Not everyone is excited about the upcoming ceremony or Staub’s new title, though.

“I’m not shocked — cockroaches always survive,” Staub’s RHONJ castmate Margaret Josephs told Us Weekly of the engagement. “She’s going to get her dream come true, spinoff Dirty Danielle. I will not be at the wedding on Monday, but when it’s over, there’s a room for him at my house.”

How did Staub meet her fiance?

This whirlwind romance wasn’t exactly a match made in heaven at first.

“I quite frankly couldn’t stand him when I first met him,” Staub told People of their first encounter in October. “He’s so strong-willed, and at first, I read that as rude, and arrogant and entitled. It wasn’t until I got to know him that I saw the other side.”

It wasn’t until a month later that she warmed up to Maier when they kissed at the Baccarat Hotel.

Maier, on the other hand, wanted Staub from the very beginning and made sure that she knew it.

He continually showed up at places where she would be in order to woo her.

“People don’t like to take a risk, but I took a risk,” Maier told People.
“Danielle’s one of the smartest people I’ve met. People have preconceived notions about her from reality TV, but she’s a smart women. And I was instantly attracted to that.”

When he did eventually kiss her, Staub was shocked.

In that moment I said, ‘Wow,'” she gushed. “I still tried to push it off, but as the weeks went on, he did not let off the throttle, and he pursued me adamantly. And he got what he wanted. We fell madly in love.”

The two actually met that day in October through Maier’s ex-girlfriend, who is probably not too happy about the way things turned out.

“I didn’t intend for it to happen that way, it’s my mistake,” he said of getting together with Staub. “If you have to blame it on someone, blame it on me, not Danielle. I care about Danielle. She’s phenomenal, comes from a good family and is beautiful beyond belief. I’m happy we’re together.”

If everything goes according to plan, this will be Staub’s fourth marriage, her last one ending just four months after the wedding. Maier, who is a little less experienced than his fiance in the marriage arena, will be going into his second attempt at wedded bliss.
