‘RHONJ’: Gia Giudice Tells Mother Teresa To Apologize To Jackie Goldschneider for Spreading Rumor
Teresa Giudice is the last OG housewife of The Real Housewives of New Jersey for a good reason. The Bravo star has been on the show for 11 seasons and is not afraid to get messy. She started off the current season by spreading a rumor about Jackie Goldschneider’s marriage, that exploded in a dramatic feud. In the aftermath of the fallout, Giudice’s daughter Gia is asking her to apologize to Goldschneider.
Why does Gia want Teresa Giudice to apologize to Jackie Goldschneider?
On the first episode of RHONJ Season 11, Goldschneider organized a party for her husband Evan. Giudice attended the event and went around asking her family and friends if they had heard the rumor about Goldschneider’s husband. The reality TV personality claimed that she was told Evan was cheating on his wife.
When Goldschneider found out that Giudice was going around making these claims, she set up to meet with her at Margaret Josephs’ home. At the encounter, Giudice said she didn’t remember who told her about the Evan allegations. Goldschneider tried to make her understand how damaging to her marriage this could be. That’s when Goldschneider came up with an example of something Giudice wouldn’t want out there by saying she heard Gia did drugs.
Giudice exploded and stormed out yelling the C-word at Goldschneider. In the aftermath of the feud, Giudice called her daughter Gia, who suggested she should apologize to her co-star.
“She said something about me, she’s upset because you said something about her marriage,” Gia told her mother in the latest episode. “And not for nothing, if you went about it in a s****ty way that upset her, then you should apologize. I’m sure you weren’t happy when cheating rumors were going on about you and dad. If you upset her, say sorry.”
Jackie Goldschneider explains the analogy about Gia
The comment that pushed Giudice over the edge was when Goldschneider said that Gia “snorts coke in the bathroom at parties.” As any parent would, Giudice got extremely upset that someone would mention their kids’ name like that. However, in an interview, Goldschneider told Showbiz Cheat Sheet that it was not with bad intentions.
“What I did was make an analogy… you can’t just say something, because once it’s out there, it hurts,” she said. “And it’s unfortunate that Teresa didn’t see that that was an analogy, which I think most people will see.”
Goldschneider said she felt pushed to her limit and added, “I reached a boiling point, and I needed to make her understand how hurtful words could be. I did present it as an analogy. And I think the fact that she missed that, was the reason why she exploded. But I think most people can tell that that was an analogy.”
After the RHONJ Season 11 premiere episode aired, Gia took to Twitter to say it was not “excusable” to say it was an analogy.
“Saying it was an analogy is making it excusable, it’s not,” Gia tweeted. “My character is now being questioned. My name was used to make a point. No one should be used in that way, I am suffering consequences for such an outlandish and untrue statement. While her marriage is happy and intact.”
Gia reiterates that an ‘apology should be given’
After the second episode of RHONJ Season 11 aired, Gia took to Twitter once again to reiterate her thoughts on the whole situation.
“I don’t want to say every… but most of the housewives have gotten the rift of cheating or being cheated on just saying.. not saying it’s right or acceptable. but this is what you sign up for..,” she tweeted.
In a second tweet, Gia acknowledged that Goldschneider’s “feelings were hurt” and “an apology should be given.”
“I’m just making it aware you sign up for this show for things to come out and drama to be started between the women,” she added.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
