‘RHONJ’: Margaret Josephs Says She ‘Had a Lot of Hope’ for Jackie Goldschneider and Teresa Giudice’s Conversation
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is one of the most popular shows in the Real Housewives franchise. Between the drama that unfolds between the housewives on a weekly basis and the behind-the-scenes stories about their interactions, there is always plenty of juicy gossip for fans to discuss. Recently, a new series of interactions between Teresa Giudice and Jackie Goldschneider not only got viewers talking but some of the other housewives as well, including fan-favorite Margaret Josephs.
What rumor did Teresa Giudice spread about Jackie Goldschneider’s husband?
Season 11 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey started off on an explosive note, with significant tensions developing between Teresa Giudice and Goldschneider. After Goldschneider offered to set the newly-single Teresa Giudice up on a blind date, Teresa Giudice takes offense and sets out to get back at the other housewife.
At Goldschneider’s husband’s birthday party, Teresa Giudice spreads a rumor, telling Melissa Gorga that she heard Evan Goldschneider uses his time at the gym to cheat on his wife. Teresa Giudice goes on to tell other cast members about the rumor at the same party, even after some of the housewives told her that she should probably not detail the rumor at Goldschneider’s birthday party. Eventually, Teresa Giudice’s words got around to Goldschneider, and the other woman exploded.
Teresa Giudice and Jackie Goldschneider had an emotional conversation
When Goldschneider confronts Teresa Giudice about spreading the rumor regarding her husband’s infidelity, things only continued to escalate. After Teresa Giudice refused to own up to spreading incorrect information, Goldschneider made an analogy regarding Teresa Giudice’s daughter, Gia Giudice.
“Well I heard Gia does coke in bathrooms at parties…it’s the same thing,” Goldschneider stated, which caused Teresa Giudice to hurl obscenities at her and storm away.
Goldschneider defended her remarks, later stating “what I did was make an analogy… you can’t just say something, because once it’s out there, it hurts.” Gia Giudice eventually opened up about Goldschneider’s remarks, claiming that the older woman’s words were “inexcusable.”
In a statement on social media, Gia Giudice said, “saying it was an analogy is making it excusable, it’s not. My character is now being questioned. My name was used to make a point. No one should be used in that way, I am suffering consequences for such an outlandish and untrue statement. While her marriage is happy and intact.”
Why did Margaret Josephs have ‘hope’ for Jackie Goldschneider and Teresa Giudice’s confrontation?
The drama between Teresa Giudice and Goldschneider reached a boiling point, but some of the other housewives never saw things going that far between the two women. On a recent episode of Danny Pellegrino’s Everything Iconic podcast, fellow RHONJ housewives Dolores Catania and Josephs opened up about how the confrontation between Teresa Giudice and Goldschneider went down.
“I know Teresa very well and I knew how this was gonna go. It was an emotional thing. Teresa didn’t understand why she was upset. Teresa was wrong to say that,” Catania stated. “And then Jackie said something that made her wrong. She could’ve stayed right for a long time through that argument. I could’ve thought of other things to say.”
Margaret Josephs chimed in, stating “other analogies.”
Catania continued, “other analogies. There’s a lot of other things that could’ve been said not to escalate that. But I never had too much hope for that. Margaret had a lot of hope.”
Josephs agreed with Catania’s statement, reiterating that “I had a lot of hope.”
Catania ended the discussion on the matter by stating “I’ve known Teresa for a long time and I’ve sat with Jackie in the past on how I think she could communicate differently with Teresa, and that went nowhere. So I knew the end result to this play was only going one way.”
Ultimately, the drama between the women looks to only continue on the fan-favorite series.
