‘RHONJ’: Teresa Giudice Reveals There Is a Clause in Her Prenup With Joe That Could Affect Them If They Divorce

Teresa and Joe Giudice of Real Housewives of New Jersey (RHONJ) are separating. They’ve had some heated arguments while filming the latest season that involved looking back on their marriage.

Teresa revealed there is a clause to the prenup they signed. Find out what it is and how it could affect things if the separated couple decide to divorce.

Teresa and Joe Giudice are now separated

Many fans wondered if the married couple planned to stay together if Joe got deported. They are reportedly separated now that he has been sent back to Italy.

“Teresa and Joe have separated, but have no plans to divorce yet. Teresa and Joe talked about their future when she and the girls were in Italy and decided it was best for them to separate,” a source told Us Weekly.

The husband has reportedly already started moving on in Italy. The source continued, “Neither of them wanted to be in a long-distance relationship. Joe has been dating in Italy, Teresa is busy taking care of their girls right now. They harbor no ill will toward each other and will continue to coparent their kids. The girls will be going to Italy in December, Teresa will be staying home.”

She revealed there is a ‘no cheating’ clause in their prenup

The mother opened up about what their relationship was like before their wedding day. It almost didn’t happen because they were disagreeing over one thing.

“A week before we were getting married, Joe asked me to sign a prenup and I just felt when you love someone, you don’t do that,” she said on the show. “I wasn’t going to go through with it, but being Italian, I have old school parents, and it’s an embarrassing thing to call off a wedding.”

The reality star eventually did sign it but she added something first. “I didn’t even read it, I just said, ‘I want you to put one thing in there. If you ever cheat, the prenup goes void,'” she said.

Her husband had something to say about their wedding and prenup too. “You know what? You want me to say it now? Alright, you and this stupid prenup that you keep bringing up? I didn’t want to get married, alright?” he told her.

The former couple has accused each other of cheating

Teresa and Joe were interviewed by Andy Cohen about their relationship. They accused each other of not being faithful during the interview.

“Do I feel like he was faithful? No. You were photographed with women also,” Teresa said. The wife reportedly dated Blake Schreck while he was in ICE detention.

Joe referred to this and asked, “That’s why it made it okay for you?” Cohen asked him if he was faithful while she was in prison. “I was actually, yeah.”

The former couple reportedly don’t have plans to divorce for now. If they do this clause might affect whether the prenup will be used if they can prove there was infidelity.
