‘RHONY’: Bethenny Frankel Says Rumors of Her Return Are ‘100%’ False

Bethenny Frankel squashed rumors that she is returning to The Real Housewives of New York City. She tweeted that she is focused on Haitian relief efforts and not being a Housewife. She shared why she felt the need to make the statement. This came after a flood of rumors that surfaced ranging from her return to the show’s cancellation.

Bethenny Frankel is focused on Haiti, not ‘Housewives’

Frankel broke her silence on Twitter about the rumor she would return to the show. “I posted on Insta that my being in talks w @BravoTV is [100 percent] false,” she tweeted. “I deleted there & took here Bc Haiti is what’s important & I don’t want to clutter msgs w false gossip. The leak is desperate for attention. I haven’t spoken to bravo since leaving & @Andy & I don’t discuss rhony.”

Frankel sprung into action almost immediately after a massive earthquake devastated Haiti. “I am researching significant ways to help Afghanistan as we speak,” she shared on Twitter. “There are many complicated issues with this relief effort so we need to really be sorted as we think about ways to meaningfully help. ‘RHONY’ friend did not think Bethenny Frankel was going to return to the series

The Real Housewives of New York City friend David Yontef recently joked about the wild range of rumors surrounding the series. “No one is sitting at the Rainbow Room on a Monday in the dead of August, with a martini in hand dialing up Bethenny Frankel,” he said. Yontef is the host of the Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast. He personally knows many of the cast. He recently hosted Dorinda Medley on his podcast, but other guests included Luann de Lesseps and Barbara Kavovit.

Yontef said he planned to do a deep dive into the RHONY rumors in the weeks to come. “Nothing has been confirmed yet for next season,” he said. “The reunion hasn’t even happened yet for this season.  That is why I have a five-day-a-week interview podcast. If I want to know something I go directly to the source and have a bunch of the current and past RHONY coming up and will be addressing these rumors.”

Who could return to ‘RHONY’ next season?

While Frankel confirmed she was not planning to return to the series, Yontef said he would not be surprised to see Tinsley Mortimer return. “As of right now today, I can tell you, there is no basis or merit to any of them, from my own sources since we seem to be playing that game,” he said. “I think the one past RHONY cast member most likely to come back is Tinsley.”

“She is on-brand for where the show is seemingly headed,” he asserted. “[She] could blend with almost any combo of cast members and has a completely new life now that she is single. Anything more than that, what’s the rush. We will just have to wait and as they say #staytuned.”
