‘RHONY:’ Bethenny Frankel’s Daughter Addresses One Big Question Surrounding the College Cheating Scandal

Out of the mouths of babes. That’s the curious and candid conversation Bethenny Frankel from The Real Housewives of New York City had with her daughter Bryn yesterday afternoon about the college cheating mess monopolizing the airwaves.

Frankel posted to her Instagram story during a car ride with the family’s adorable pups. Frankel seems intent on recording a sweet exchange between her dogs, Biggie and Smalls. But Bryn had more questions and opinions about the college cheating scandal.

Like most children, Bryn wanted answers as to why this happened and what will happen to the people involved. She also questioned whether the children of high profile people involved knew what was happening. Frankel tries her best to answer most of her daughter’s questions, especially about what will happen with Lori Loughlin’s character on Fuller House.

Frankel posted a video when the scandal broke

Like many people, Frankel was visibly frustrated when she learned about the college cheating scandal. She was direct and didn’t mince words. “What the f**k is wrong with everybody? Let’s review. Your kid isn’t bright enough to go to Stanford. So don’t send your kid to f**king Stanford! I don’t understand. What is wrong? Don’t go to college, go to beauty school, go to a college you actually get into.”

She continued, saying that kids bagged scores they didn’t even work for. “That they think they just got away with something,” she said. “That’s a great message. That’s a delightful message.”

Frankel also interacted with Twitter followers on the topic. “I just wanted to feel compassion about making a mistake & was explaining the story to my daughter…then someone shows me that one of the privileged daughters posts that she doesn’t care about school. Tell your kids the story and ask them the moral. Effed up world.”

Like many parents, Frankel is getting a lot of questions

Frankel’s daughter is only 8 years old. So she has quite a few years before she’ll be looking at college. But that didn’t stop the precocious and curious child from asking the questions that are on most people’s minds.

“Well, my daughter is fixated on ‘why would aunt Becky do this?’ She is insisting it was the child’s fault so this has become a lesson on parenting, privilege, cheating and merit,” Frankel posted to Twitter. In her Instagram story, Frankel wants to talk about her sweet pups, but Bryn wants to know more about Aunt Becky (Loughlin’s character on Fuller House). She wondered if Loughlin knew the man she paid was actually a scammer or maybe did she not know?

Like many parents in this situation, Frankel tells her daughter she doesn’t know the answer but agrees it is a pressing question.

And then the big question…

And while Bryn asks more insightful questions there’s one question most kids and Fuller House fans are likely asking: “Are they going to stop the fifth season or is she not in the fifth season?”

At this point, Frankel hands the question answering portion of the car ride to her dog, Smalls. “Well, I don’t think she’s going to be in the fifth season,” Smalls remarks in a voice that sounds suspiciously like Frankel’s.

Thus far, the Hallmark Channel has made a statement regarding Loughlin’s case. “Crown Media Family Networks is aware of the situation and monitoring developments as they arise,” Deadline reports. Only last month, Loughlin said season five of Fuller House was the end of the line. “I don’t understand why it’s the final season, I have to be honest with you,” she told The Hollywood Reporter In Studio. “I think it does really well for Netflix and I don’t know their business model. I’m not sure how it all works because it’s not like network television, but I was surprised. I know it was 18 episodes, which is a bigger order than usual, but I’m still surprised that they’re ending it at season five.”
