This ‘RHONY’ Housewife Is Reportedly Leaving After Season 12

A new season of The Real Housewives of New York City has been in production in the Big Apple. The stars returning to the Bravo reality show are Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, and Tinsley Mortimer. Season 12 is set to wrap up shooting soon and it might be the last appearance for one of the housewives.

Tinsley Mortimer in love

There have been reports that Mortimer took a break from filming RHONY to travel to Chicago to visit her on-again boyfriend Scott Kluth. Allegations that the socialite was quitting the Bravo show surged after the rumors.

Now, an insider is saying that Kluth is getting ready to propose to Mortimer and would move to Illinois to be by her husband.

“[Tinsley is] finally getting her happy ending,” the tipster told Us Weekly. “Scott is proposing soon.”

As production for season 12 comes to a close, Mortimer might be packing her stuff and leaving Manhattan.

“She is moving for love,” another source added. “This is a very happy time in her life right now and everyone is rooting for her and Scott. They have addressed all their issues and no longer want to live without each other. She is very, very happy!”

The source and the report were careful to not say Mortimer was quitting RHONY and only saying she was moving. It could possibly be that, if asked back for season 13, Mortimer would then return to NYC to film a new season.

Bethenny Frankel quit ‘RHONY’

Ahead of the start of season 12, Bethenny Frankel quit RHONY sending shockwaves through the Bravo-verse.

“I have decided to leave the Housewives franchise to explore my next chapter,” Frankel told Variety at the time. “It’s time to move on and focus on my daughter, my philanthropy and my production partnership with Mark Burnett, producing and starring in shows which represent a shift in the conversation for women. With the changes in modern culture, I want to highlight the strength, confidence and unstoppable power that women have.”’

Although Frankel’s castmates were stunned at the beginning, De Lesseps says that everyone is relieved she left.

“I think the whole cast is relieved, in a way, and it also leaves breathing room for other women to shine and show their personalities because a lot was Bethenny coming in and kind of stealing the show,” De Lesseps said on Jenny McCarthy’s SiriusXM show. “But guess what, she can’t steal our show. This season is amazing and I can’t wait for everyone to see the new season.”

The Countess had a rocky relationship with Frankel and said she was “nasty” at times.

“She’s a lot of fun. She can be really nasty. She’s very funny,” De Lesseps added. “Those are the people you kind of get up for in the morning, because they challenge you. I always held my own with Bethenny. [She] and I have always had this, up and down kind of relationship, and she’s not an easy person to manage. I just feel like, that part, I’ll kind of miss. It’s challenging. I found a kind of fun in it. Listen, I’ll miss her but at the same, time, when you’re around her, it’s like walking on eggshells.”

RHONY is set to return to Bravo next year.
