‘RHONY’ Season 12 Reunion Set to Be In-Person, ‘Housewives’ Allegedly Push Back
It is almost time to wrap up The Real Housewives of New York City Season 12. The ladies are reportedly getting ready to film their reunion special where they will relive all of their drama. In a pandemic world, Bravo shifted to doing reunions virtually but with the girls from the Big Apple they will finally meet in person. However, there is reportedly pushback from some of the cast members.
When is ‘RHONY’ filming the reunion?
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills filmed their reunion special two weeks ago. Now Andy Cohen is getting ready to turn on drama for the cast of RHONY. Page Six reported that the Bravo host will meet up with the ladies on August 5 in Long Island.
This will be the first in-person reunion since the world started fighting COVID-19. According to the publication, production is still working out the details about what precautions need to be made to secure the health of the Housewives.
The ‘Housewives’ push back
There are rumors that some of the ladies are pushing back on the in-person reunion and would much rather go the virtual route as the other franchises have done.
“Apparently all of the women, or a majority of the cast, except for Ramona, want to do virtual because Andy has had COVID and Ramona tested positive for antibodies,” a source told blogger Bravo Haus.
In addition, the source is saying that the cast and crew are set to get tested for the coronavirus next week.
Elyse Slaine won’t be at the reunion
One person that won’t be at the reunion is Elyse Slaine, the “friend of” that joined RHONY this season. Slaine came onto the show as a friend of Singer but recently had a major fallout. Many fans think Singer was behind the decision of not having Slaine at the reunion with the rest of the cast.
“I won’t be at the reunion,” Slaine recently posted on Twitter.
Slaine confirmed she fell out with Singer during filming of RHONY.
“Ramona and I did have a falling out midseason,” Slaine told Heavy. “We have not spoken. We have mutual friends who are trying to get the two of us to sit down and have a talk. I honestly don’t know what the falling out was about.”
Although Slaine and Singer’s friendship goes back about a dozen years, the former is not exactly sure why the latter is upset.
“I guess she had second thoughts about having me on the show but I never understood what the issue was because I felt like I consistently had her back on the show, so I don’t know why she started having second thoughts about it,” Slaine added.
Slaine recently shaded Singer in a Cameo video where she poked fun at the the RHONY OG for claiming to having “50 girlfriends.”
“Ramona with, ‘I’ve got 50 best friends,’” Slaine said in a viral Cameo clip mocking Singer. “Guess what b***h? Now she’s down to 49 because I am out.”
The Real Housewives of New York City airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
