‘RHONY’ Star, Luann de Lesseps Helped Create New IV Drip Called the “Feelin’ Jovani Drip”
Luann de Lesseps has turned a fight over Jovani with Dorina Medley into so much more. It became a meme amongst fans. She then came back with her own ways to get the Jovani craze going with a song and now IV Drip.
Find out how the Real Housewives of New York star helped create a new IV Drip called the “Feelin’ Jovani Drip” and more.
Luann de Lesseps released a song and music video for “Feelin’ Jovani”
The reality star wasn’t getting along with co-star Medley because Medley helped get her Jovani gowns for her cabaret only for her boyfriend, John Mahdessian not to be invited to the singer’s show. Jovani became a huge part of the fight, which led to de Lesseps being inspired to make a new song.
“I really wanted to change the narrative,” she told The Cut. “When I come out onstage performing at my show, the fans are always shouting ‘Jovani!’ So I decided to take lemons and make lemonade. Or maybe lemon meringue.”
“Dorinda has been a loyal client for years now,” says Jovani co-owner Abraham Maslavi told The Cut. “When we first allowed Housewives to film inside our store, we thought it was just a one-day thing. We didn’t necessarily know how big this would become, and we definitely didn’t know Dorinda would be screaming ‘Jovani’ during the cabaret show. Then it just kind of took off.”
She went on to release a music video which included Cynthia Bailey and Lisa Rinna. They got dressed up as Charlie’s Angles for the video.
There is now an IV drip named after the song
The reality star found a different way to use her catchphrase. She partnered with IVDrips to create a formula that could help with health and hydration through vitamins and minerals.
“It’s the perfect recharge and reset button after a workout, especially in this record-setting heat wave,” she told Page Six. “This formula channels everything the song is about: youth, energy and just an overall sense of positivity.”
The formula reportedly includes hydration fluids, magnesium, taurine, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B5, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, vitamin C and glutathione. A bag is being sold for $380 and 20% of the proceeds go to The Women’s Prison Association, which aims to help women who were formerly incarcerated.
There has still been drama around her co-stars and cabaret
She has found a way to spin a terrible moment into something good. There still has been drama in the recent season between her and her RHONY co-stars.
Ramona Singer and most of the cast didn’t want to go to another one of her shows. Singer threw a party on the same night as one of her shows in order to avoid it. That didn’t sit well with the cabaret performer.
Bethenny Frankel also tore into de Lesseps and accused her of being ungrateful. That’s because Frankel said she helped her get to rehab and de Lesseps was being ungrateful.
“She helped, but the network actually paid for that. So I want to clarify that,” de Lesseps told People Now. “You’re the only ones who know it, I said it here, right now.”
She went on to say, “[Bethenny] helped make that happen, absolutely, and I give her credit for that.”
We will have to wait and see what the singer’s relationships will be like next season. Right now she seems to be focusing on Jovani.
