‘RHOP’: Gizelle Bryant Denies Jamal Recently Fathered Another Child: ‘Put Some Respect on His Name’
Original housewife on Real Housewives of Potomac Gizelle Bryant and ex-husband Atlanta-based pastor Jamal, recently began dating again after 10 years. Although Gizelle has stated she wouldn’t get back with her ex, their strong co-parenting relationship led to their reconciliation.
The two have been plagued with rumors since they started dating again as some believe the two faked it for a storyline, and others claimed Jamal had a baby with another woman after they reconnected. The Bryants have vehemently denied the rumors, and Gizelle addressed it again on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
Gizelle and Jamal Bryant’s relationship
In 2002, Pastor Jamal Bryant married Gizelle, who became the first lady of their then-small Baltimore church. Soon after, the couple welcomed three daughters into the world, Grace, and her twin sisters, Angel and Adore.
As the church grew, the pastor started to stray from the marriage and began having multiple affairs, which resulted in several children while still married.
They mutually filed for divorce six years later but remained close as they continued to co-parent three girls. Gizelle cites their great co-parenting relationship as a primary reason that led to their reconciliation 10 years later.
Even though she once swore she would never get back with her ex-husband, Gizelle admitted she began seeing Jamal again after things didn’t work out with her and former basketball player Sherman Douglas.
At the RHOP Season 4 reunion, the mother-of-three announced she and her ex-husband were officially dating. According to Gizelle, she has forgiven Jamal’s past infidelity and has fully welcomed him back into her life, even though he recently relocated to Atlanta.
Jamal Bryant accused of recently fathering another child
Shortly after the two announced their reconciliation, a source reported to Media Takeout News that the original housewife reconnected with her ex for a storyline.
Another insider claimed Gizelle is paying her ex $100,000 out of the alleged $500,000 she will make this season to go along with it. The couple debunked these rumors by posting a picture of them wearing shirts calling themselves “the storyline” and “the plot.”
A few weeks after the couple began dating again; rumors surfaced that Jamal fathered a newborn baby with a member of his congregation. The Bryants denied the allegations in an Instagram post.
Gizelle Bryant denies accusations against boyfriend, Jamal
In the most recent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Gizelle Bryant addressed the rumors again. She insisted it’s “all the way a lie” and thinks they’re an important couple because of the misinformation people are spreading around.
Additionally, Bryant reminded viewers that her man is “doing wonderful things in Atlanta.” Therefore, people should “put some respect on his name.”
In another segment on the show, the former first lady picked herself as having the “best reads and clapbacks” as well as the biggest ego of her co-stars. Additionally, she named Ashley Darby as the biggest pot-stirrer this season.
Bryant also noted that Monique Samuels has the most to address at the Season 5 reunion, which annoyed the mother-of-three. Therefore, Samuels put the Bryants on blast and claimed Pastor Jamal told people that his relationship with Gizelle was only for “reality tv.”
Real Housewives of Potomac Season 5 has been postponed until this summer.
