How old is Rich the Kid, and where is he from?

Born Dimitri Roger on July 13, 1992, the Queens, New York rapper is currently 27-years-old. His parents are Haitian, and he grew up speaking Creole in his household. At the age of 13, Roger’s parents divorced, and he moved to Woodstock, Georgia, where he lived with his mother.

The rapper grew up listening to rap legends including 50 Cent, Notorious B.I.G., Nas, 2-Pac, and Jay-Z. However, after moving to Georgia, he began listening to artists of that area, including T.I. and Young Jeezy. Roger first began rapping under the moniker Black Boy The Kid, but soon after switched to Rich the Kid.

Roger worked at Wendy’s at 15-years-old and realized he wanted to pursue music full-time. Then, at 16-years-old, he accepted an opportunity for a studio session and began taking rap seriously.
