Rihanna: See Her Smoldering Outfit That Is Turning Heads
Rihanna is not only a beautiful and talented singer, but she’s also a fashion icon. When it comes to sexy, daring, and just truly amazing looks, RiRi always delivers.
Whether she’s wearing Gucci, Dior, Zac Posen, or Stella McCartney, the “Work” singer continues to wow us time and time again with her style. Rihanna is not afraid to break the rules and she doesn’t follow trends — she sets them.
Here are some of her looks that definitely got our attention, including the one smoldering outfit that had heads turning and sent the internet into a frenzy.
1. Red Giambattista Valli gown
Rihanna’s fans went wild when the singer showed up to walk the blue carpet at the Cineworld Leicester Square for the London premiere of her movie, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, in 2017.
The flowing red gown was an off-the-shoulder number with an extremely low neckline that showed off the singer’s curves. She accessorized the look with Chopard jewels and a Jimmy Choo clutch.
2. Pink 2015 Grammy Awards dress
At the 2015 Grammy Awards, Rihanna hit the red carpet just before the ceremony was about to start in a memorable double-tiered gown from Giambattista Valli’s couture collection. The star looked like a princess in the hot pink ensemble.
“She wears couture like a T-shirt,” the designer told InStyle.
3. 2017 Met Gala outfit
When it comes to the Met Gala, Rihanna’s is really the only look you need to see. It doesn’t even matter what the other stars are wearing because when RiRi shows up, she shuts things down.
The songstress celebrated the 2017 Gala’s Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between theme by donning a Comme des Garçons look straight off the runway. The outfit was truly a piece of art and one that only she could make look that good.
4. Barbados’ Crop Over Festival costume
This is the smoldering outfit that really had heads turning and tongues wagging when she rocked it at the Barbados Crop Over Festival in 2017.
The stunning look, complete with a colorful headdress, lit up the internet. While the Rihanna Navy (as her hardcore fans are known) praised the singer for how beautiful she looked, others questioned if the image was Photoshopped. Savvy social media users noticed that something looked off with RiRi’s manicure as she appeared to have an extra thumbnail.
Photoshopped a bit or not though, the outfit is gorgeous, and there is no denying that Rihanna looked amazing in it.
5. 2014 British Fashion Awards ensemble
In 2014, Rihanna walked the red carpet at the London Coliseum where the British Fashion Awards were held, wearing a Stella McCartney tuxedo jacket as a dress.
The hit-maker paired the velvet blazer with a sparkling choker. She added a few shiny pieces of jewelry to her wrist and hands and completed the look with sheer black tights and heels.
6. Diamond bodysuit at Coachella 2017
Talk about “shine bright like a diamond.” The bodysuit the singer wore to Coachella in 2017 is like nothing you’ve ever seen before.
RiRi shared a picture of the Gucci number with her followers via Instagram, and people weren’t sure what to think except that, well, she’s Rihanna and can pull anything off.
The crystal ensemble also reminded us of the Swarovski crystal dress that she blew us away with a few years back (more on that look later).
7. 2014 CFDA Awards Swarovski-covered dress
It’s hard to forget the sheer dress that Rihanna wore to the 2014 Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards in New York City.
The songstress was the recipient of the Fashion Icon Award that year and stopped everyone in their tracks when she arrived on the red carpet in the eye-popping gown. The Adam Selman see-through dress, matching gloves, and headscarf were all hand embellished with more than 2oo,000 Swarovski crystals.
The Barbadian beauty added a Jacob & Co. ring as well as a Paul Morelli ring and earrings to top off her fabulous look.
“Fashion should never be frustrating. It should be fun!” Rihanna said during her acceptance speech.
