Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and his on and off again girlfriend, Jenn Harley, decided to rekindle their romance against the advice of their family and friends who claim the two have a “toxic” relationship.
After the two began dating in July 2017, their relationship became violent around the birth of their now 18-month-old daughter, Ariana. In April 2018, Ortiz-Magro took to Instagram to share his annoyance with Harley for having “sex videos” with her ex, which resulted in her accusing him of using drugs and an altercation caught on Instagram Live.
They broke up and reconciled again in early May, a few days after their daughter’s birth. During May, they broke up a couple of times due to cheating accusations, and in June, Harley allegedly punched Ortiz-Magro in the face and drove away, while he was caught on the seatbelt, dragging the reality star.
Harley got arrested, the two broke up, Ortiz-Magro dropped the charges, and they were together again in time for July 4th. Since then, there have been more violent episodes between the two caught on camera, including Harley throwing an ashtray at Ortiz-Magro at a New Year’s Eve party, resulting in another arrest.
Once again, the charges were dropped, and the couple reconciled. Now, Ortiz-Magro is the one in jail after another heated argument with Harley.
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jen Harley got back together
After Ortiz-Magro and Harley broke up after she accused him of cheating a month ago, the reality star told a TMZ cameraman that he and Harley were working things out again.
They were caught leaving a Beverly Hills restaurant hand-in-hand and admitted they were together “for right now,” and said they stay strong as a couple by “ignoring everybody.”
Not even an entire day after the couple claimed they “were good,” Ortiz-Magro ended up in jail after another explosive fight with the mother of his child.
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro arrested for kidnapping after a domestic violence incident
At around 2:30 a.m. PST on Friday, October 4, according to law enforcement, Ortiz-Magro and Harley’s argument got out of hand, and the reality star allegedly punched and slapped his girlfriend in the face.
Therefore, she ran out of the house, screaming for help, and several people called 911 for her. Then, sources say Ortiz-Magro chased her with a knife in his hand and their 18-month-old daughter, Ariana, in his other arm.
He then allegedly yelled for Harley to get back into the house, still with his daughter in hand, but dropped the knife. Police arrived shortly to the house and demanded to speak with Ortiz-Magro.
However, the reality star refused to answer the door and locked himself in the house with his daughter. Fearing the child was in danger, police broke down the door, but Ortiz-Magro still declined to go with the officers.
Therefore, they had to tase the reality star, presumably in front of the child, so they could take him into custody. Paramedics also arrived on the scene to check out Harley and their daughter, and while neither have them have major physical injuries, Harley did have marks on her face.
Ortiz-Magro was booked at 6 a.m. PST on Friday, October 4, for kidnapping, and Harley claimed the reality star was under the influence of cocaine during the incident.
