Kate Middleton is the envy of many women around the world. The 37-year-old seems to always look flawless every time she steps outside of the house. Despite being a mother to three children, her perfect hair and radiant skin often doesn’t show signs of stress or sleep deprivation.
However, a lot of royal followers believe that the Duchess of Cambridge has been getting a bit of help from cosmetic surgery to maintain her appearance. Let’s look at what the palace has said and whether this claim has any truth to it.
A plastic surgeon claims that Kate Middleton got baby Botox
A lot of this talk about Kate Middleton getting work done came about because of a plastic surgeon on Instagram. Dr. Munir Somji, who runs a clinic in London, shared in a now-deleted post that he believes the duchess has had baby Botox to remove the lines on her forehead.
“Our Kate loves a bit of baby Botox,” Dr. Somji said, “Patients come from far and wide to see me for this procedure. It truly is so simple… Note the reduction of fine lines on the forehead. But also note the depression of the medial (middle part) brow but elevation of the lateral tail of the brow.”
While the clinic could not comment on whether Kate Middleton was a client or not due to non-disclosure agreements, a representative said that the post was shared with a photo of Kate Middleton because Dr. Somji “thought it was a good comparison picture to use to show the effects of Botox and obviously baby Botox which he does himself.”
The palace calls the claim ‘categorically not true’
In response to Dr. Somji’s post, Kensington Palace released a statement that calls his claim of Kate Middleton getting baby Botox “categorically not true.” The palace also made sure to mention that “The Royal Family never endorse commercial activity.”
Whether she did get baby Botox or not, Kate Middleton has been known to lead a very healthy lifestyle that includes a lot of exercising and healthy eating. She likes to jog or swim in the morning and, throughout the day, she eats a lot of fruits and vegetables. These habits can help a lot in maintaining a youthful look.
Fans believe that Kate Middleton really did have some work done
However, many fans do not believe that the Duchess of Cambridge could be wrinkle-free without help from Botox.
“I like Kate, but I think it’s hilarious for anyone to say her face is 100% natural,” one commenter said.
While people think that Kate Middleton indeed had work done, a lot of commenters are understanding of her decision given her position as one of the most famous women in the world.
For years now, trolls have made nasty remarks whenever Kate Middleton is pictured with wrinkles on her face, so it isn’t surprising if she ended up wanting to use cosmetic procedures to silent those harsh critics.
One person weighed in: “The thought of injecting poison into my face is horrifying. But I’m not photographed 100 times a day and I might think differently if I were. Plus it’s her face and she can do what she wants with it.”
“I get Botox and I LOVE IT,” another commenter shared. “Everyone I know over the age of 35 gets it. It’s fine and, frankly, normal for her age.”
Does Meghan Markle use Botox?
A lot of royal fans also believe that Meghan Markle has had work done. Unlike Kate Middleton, though, the rumors surrounding Meghan Markle’s Botox injections say that she probably uses an organic kind called Biotulin, which has fans such as Kim Kardashian and Michelle Obama.
However, it’s unlikely that the palace will ever confirm these rumors and they will simply be just that – rumors.
