Royal Insiders Think Prince Harry Could End Up Doing More Harm Than Good
When Princess Diana tragically died in a car accident in Paris, the entire world was in a state of shock. She was only 36 years old, and it took some time to really grasp the fact that the princess was actually gone.
To make matters even more difficult, millions, if not billions of people watched her two young sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, walk behind her casket as the funeral was broadcast on live television. It was heartbreaking to see the somber faces of the two boys, then ages 15 and 12, as they had to say goodbye to their mother so suddenly.
Now, more than 20 years later, Prince Harry is happily married to American actress Meghan Markle. It seems that in the past few months, Markle has been attacked in the media for all sorts of things and Prince Harry, instead of keeping quiet, is jumping to her defense, and getting extremely angry in the process.
He even went so far as to release a statement in regards to a lawsuit that Duchess Meghan is involved in. One of the most unexpected things about the entire situation is that Prince Harry seems to be making a lot of comparisons between Princess Diana and Duchess Meghan. But royal insiders think Prince Harry could end up doing more harm than good.
Prince Harry is bringing up memories of his mother’s death
Losing a parent at any age is one of the most difficult times in someone’s life. But given the fact that Prince Harry was barely into his teens makes it significantly harder.
While we have no way of knowing exactly how Prince Harry feels or what he talks about behind closed doors, we can only imagine the devastating impact that Princess Diana’s death had on him.
According to BestLifeOnline, Prince Harry has been making comparisons between Princess Diana and Markle lately, saying Duchess Meghan is a victim of excessive media attention, just as Princess Diana once was. A friend of Princess Diana said Prince Harry wishes he had been able to do more to protect his mother from the constant attention that she received on a daily basis, and he feels that history is repeating itself with his wife.
Recently, Prince Harry opened up about how his mother’s death impacted him. He said: “I think being part of this family, in this role, in this job, every single time I see a camera, every single time I hear a click, every single time I see a flash, it takes me straight back. In that respect, it’s the worst reminder of her life as opposed to the best.”
What is Prince Harry doing to protect Meghan Markle?
Prince Harry is deeply upset about how the media has been treating Duchess Meghan lately, and he certainly hasn’t been quiet about it. According to People, the Duke of Sussex will stop at nothing to protect his wife.
He reportedly feels that it is his job to manage what is going on, and somehow control the negative press that has been surrounding Markle in recent months. In fact, Prince Harry has a concern for not only Duchess Meghan’s safety, but for their son, Archie’s as well.
Prince Harry has openly spoken about the fact that he believes that photographers and the news media were responsible for Princess Diana’s death, and he will go to great lengths in order to ensure that nothing bad ever happens to Duchess Meghan or Archie. Although Prince Harry is definitely a loving, caring husband who has nothing but the best intentions at heart, is he really making the right decision?
Royal insiders think Prince Harry could end up doing more harm than good
How can Prince Harry’s actions end up being harmful rather than helpful? Royal insiders seem to think that the constant comparisons between Duchess Meghan and Princess Diana will further fuel the news media to keep harassing the Duchess of Sussex.
Instead of putting an end to the current wave of abuse, it could possibly entice them to go further and, as a result, put Duchess Meghan more at risk. There are even some royal family members who agree. While we understand that Prince Harry is trying to act in his wife’s best interest, perhaps a different approach would be more effective.
