‘Runaways’ Season 3: When Can You Watch the Last Season On Hulu?

Marvel’s Runaways is streaming on Hulu — but only for a little while longer.

The storyline focuses on a group of intelligent and talented teenagers who, of course, have a variety of superpowers. The show comes from the dynamic duo, Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz, the couple behind shows like The O.C. and Gossip Girl. The idea, however, came from the acclaimed comic book star Brian K. Vaughn.

The show pits the teens against their parents, a reasonably typical television trope. In this case, however, the parents seem to become more and more sinister as the kids dig into their so-called “charity organization.” The roles that support the show and make up the Runaways group include:

  • A good boy, Alex
  • A Wiccan, Nico
  • Perfect church girl, Karolina
  • The jock, Chase
  • The liberal who struggles with anxiety, Gert
  • Strong female, Molly
  • And, in Season 3, it seems there will be new faces among the Runaway’s cast. The Marvel show, Cloak & Dagger, is being canceled by Freeform, but the two main characters, Tandy and Tyrone, are set to crossover to the set of Hulu’s Runaways.

How to watch season 3 of Marvel’s Runaways

Season 3 of Runaways will release on Hulu on Friday, December 13 (Friday the 13th, really?) And all 10 episodes of the season will premiere on that day. Watch the final season trailer here

Fans of the show have many different ideas and positions on how the series should end.

According to British actor Gregg Sulkin, who plays Chase Stein, there will be loads of romance in the last season. His character and Ariela Barer’s Gert Yorkes get a little steamy, but also face some challenges. Watching their relationship journey may be interesting.

Sulkin adds:

“My dad always said you never know someone until you live with them, and I think Chase and Gert find that out this season, that living with each other is — the first season, falling in love is great. Living with somebody and being on the run? There could be some complications.” – International Business Times

The show’s writers say the Marvel series will come to a natural ending point. Nothing is left unsolved. They continued by saying that the last five minutes of the finale are going to melt viewers’ hearts.

The big surprise for season 3 viewers

One of the most well-known characters to be added to the cast for Season 3 is actor Elizabeth Hurley (The Royals, Bedazzled) Hurley will play the legendary Morgan Le Fay, a character from the Arthurian myth. Marvel turns this character into a sorceress badass.

It was 1955 when Morgan Le Fay made an appearance in the Marvel comics. Le Fay has a cloudy mist she uses for many evil actions.

This version of Le Fey can control minds and cast illusions. The kids are going to need superpower-bulking-up to match this megalomaniac.

“I was so excited when they offered me this,” said Hurley. “You know, I’ve been a Marvel fan. I’ve played the Devil, so I’ve played bad before. Playing Morgan le Fay, she’s the most powerful enchantress of the Dark Dimension. It’s nice to go back to my evil side.” – comicbook.com

This new villain has a dramatic connection to Nico, which begins the vastly intricate web of the plotline, characters, and magic that is awaiting fans. Fans at Comic-Con heard from the cast that the first episode of Season 3 is particularly complex and emotional. Romantic partners, as well as parents and children, are part of the touching story.

And, yes, the first episode of the last season of Marvel’s Runaways has a shocking surprise ending.
