This drag performer is known for many things. She’s a dancer, who worked as a professional ballerina. She made it to the “Top Two” of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 11. Brooke Lynn Hytes was also the first Canadian drag queen to compete on RuPaul’s Emmy Award-winning television series.

“It was a little bit of pressure. It wasn’t too much, honestly. I was more excited,” Brooke Lynn Hytes said during an interview with Billboard. “All my Canadian sisters, friends, everyone was so excited and proud. That was the coolest part. I knew I was going to represent Canada well because I know myself and I know my drag and I knew I was going to bring something good to the table. So there wasn’t a super large amount of stress, but I definitely felt it a little bit more at the beginning because I didn’t want to be sent home early.

The drag performer took her involvement one step further, becoming a judge on the Canadian version of RuPaul’s Drag Race. According to Entertainment Weekly, she is a permanent judge on the reality series, alongside UnREAL actor Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman. Canada’s Drag Race premieres sometime next year.

Aside from that, Brooke Lynn Hytes keeps herself busy, from attending RuPaul’s DragCon to meeting Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to surprising young dancers. Recently, she attended the 2019 E! People’s Choice Awards and took home the award for “Most Hypeworthy Canadian.”

She’s a winner, baby! Brooke Lynn Hytes took home the People’s Choice Award for Most Hypeworthy Canadian. She won the recognition over other nominees in this category, including Drake, Celine Dion, Keanu Reeves, and Shawn Mendes. Once the news broke of the drag queen’s win, fans spread their love for Brooke on social media.

“I am incredibly proud of all of your accomplishments! You have worked so hard and making sure you give more than 100% effort in everything you do. You are worth every vote and our love! Can’t wait to hug you,” wrote one fan on Twitter.

“There’s isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t feel proud of you and thankful to have found you, you’re taking over the world and I’m so happy that we get to see you do it, I love you forever,” said another Twitter user.
