Sacha Baron Cohen Just Pranked Rudy Giuliani Disguised in a Pink Lace Bikini

Sacha Baron Cohen is known for outwitting some of the world’s most influential politicians and celebrities. And now, for what appears to be a bit for his Showtime series Who Is America?, the jokester is being accused of pranking former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani while dressed in a pink lace bikini.

Sacha Baron Cohen is a master of disguise

With his roles in blockbuster films like Borat and Les Misérables, Cohen is a certified movie star.  But he’s a master impressionist at his core, and he’s been able to fool a number of notable celebrities with his creative characters.

Cohen began interviewing actors and politicians in 2000, with his original series, Da Ali G Show,  in which he portrayed British hip-hopper wannabe, Alistair Leslie Graham, aka Ali G. In disguise, Cohen conducted satirical interviews with government officials, scientists, and celebrities including David Beckham, Boutros Boutros Gali, and Donald J. Trump.

He might be working on a new season of his Showtime series, ‘Who Is America?’

In 2018, Cohen unveiled his Showtime series, Who Is America?. Similar to Da Ali G Show,  the series features Cohen, disguised as various characters, interviewing notable celebrities. As the far-right conspiracy theorist Billy Wayne Ruddick Jr., Ph.D., Cohen sat down for chats with Senator Bernie Sanders, Congressman Barney Frank, and Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.

In June 2020, Cohen was back in the news after being accused of pranking an alt-right rally.  In a post on his Facebook page, Yelm City Councilman James Connor Blair claimed that Cohen infiltrated a March For Our Rights rally in Olympia, Washington. He was reportedly in disguise as a singer and led the crowd into chanting extreme right-wing rhetoric.

According to photos shared on Twitter, Cohen allegedly returned to the event after being kicked out. He showed up in the guise of a photographer and proceeded to film the organizers while they explained how he infiltrated the event.

Rudy Giuliani claims he was pranked by Sasha Baron Cohen

In a recent interview with Page Six, President Donald Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani claimed that he was pranked by Cohen on July 7, and ultimately called the police on him.  Giuliani said that he walked into the New York hotel believing he was going to be interviewed about Trump’s COVID-19 response efforts, but ended up being confronted by Cohen, who he says was dressed in women’s clothing.

“This guy comes running in, wearing a crazy, what I would say was a pink transgender outfit,” said Giuliani. “It was a pink bikini, with lace, underneath a translucent mesh top, it looked absurd. He had the beard, bare legs, and wasn’t what I would call distractingly attractive.”

And the former New York City mayor also noted that despite being a fan of Cohen, he wasn’t able to recognize him at first.  “I only later realized it must have been Sacha Baron Cohen,” he explained. “I thought about all the people he previously fooled and I felt good about myself because he didn’t get me.”

Cohen reportedly left the hotel before the police arrived. The actor hasn’t commented on the incident, but many are speculating this Giuliani interview will be featured on a new season of Who Is America?.
