Sarah Ferguson Has the Best Reaction To Her Daughter Princess Beatrice’s Engagement
Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson‘s oldest daughter is set to marry the property tycoon sometime next year. Here’s what we know about where their upcoming nuptials may take place and how Beatrice’s mother and her other family members reacted to the news.
The palace announced the news
News of the princess and Mozzi’s engagement was announced via the royal family Instagram account on Sept. 26.
“The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Princess Beatrice to Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi,” the post read.
It also revealed that the two became engaged a few weeks ago and Mozzi proposed while they were in Itlay.
“We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement,” the pair said in a statement. “We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married. We share so many similar interests and values and we know this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.”
How Sarah Ferguson reacted
Beatrice’s mother was overjoyed by the news and took to social media to share her reaction.
The Duchess of York said that she cried happy tears after finding out the couple was going to tie the knot.
“I know what a mother feels so I have tears of joy. I am so proud of this sensational news. Andrew and I are just the luckiest people ever to have two great sons in law,” she wrote referring to Princess Eugenie’s husband, Jack Brooksbank.
Fergie also shared that some of the photos of the pair were taken by Eugenie.
How Princess Eugenie and Prince Andrew reacted
Like her mother, Eugenie took to Instagram as well and posted about how happy she is for her sibling writing, “Beabea – wow! I’m so happy for you my dearest big sissy and dear Edo. It’s been a long time coming and you two are meant to be.”
Beatrice’s father, Prince Andrew, released a statement that he is “thrilled” for his daughter as well and sends the princess and Mozzi “every good wish for a wonderful family future.”
Mozzi’s parents, Nikki Williams-Ellis and Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi, added: “We are truly delighted about Edoardo’s and Beatrice’s engagement.”
Where the couple could say ‘I do’
As of the right now there has been no announcement of where Beatrice and Mozzi will say their vows. While many are betting on St. George’s Chapel where her sister got hitched there is a possibility that it could be in another country altogether.
Mozzi’s father is from Italy and just last month Fergie was spotted there. Many royal fans speculated then that she was there to look at different venues in preparation for a wedding.
