See What Lucy From ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ Looks Like Grown Up at Age 21
In 2005, bookworms all over the world rejoiced that the fantasy series The Chronicles of Narnia was being adapted into a live-action film. For over 60 years, the books had enthralled readers of all ages, and the film would allow the amazing story to reach even more people.
With expectations high, the casting had to be perfect, especially for the high-profile role of Lucy. Eventually, after 18 months of callbacks and uncertainty, an English girl named Georgie Henley got the nod, beating out thousands of other child actors who had auditioned.
Georgina Helen Henley was born on July 9th, 1995, and at the age of just ten, was starring in one of the year’s biggest films.
Here’s what she looked like in some stills from the 2005 film:
In 2008 and 2010, Georgie reprised the role of Lucy in both The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The third film was bittersweet, as it would be her last with the cast and crew she more or less grew up with, but she didn’t slow down a beat after her bread-and-butter franchise came to a close.
A lot happened since then, but now she’s 21 years old, and her Narnia debut was more than a decade ago. See what “Lucy” looks like today!
Of course, since he acting career has taken off, she’s adopted a couple other looks along the way.
Here she is after graduating from the University of Cambridge, where she majored in English.
But she wasn’t always rocking such a wholesome look, as you’ll see in a still from one of her edgier roles.
She took on a crazy gothic look for her role in Perfect Sisters, a dark film starring both Abigail Breslin and Mira Sorvino. Fortunately for fans of the old Georgie, the look was only temporary, and she returned to her more classically beautiful look after shooting.
Given the trajectory of her career, it’s almost certain we’ll be checking back in on Georgie’s career and appearance in another ten years, so stay tuned!
