If you’ve been on YouTube during the past month, chance are you’ve seen Shane Dawson’s videos in the trending videos column. The six videos recently released on his channel were in collaboration with Jeffree Star, for a multi-part documentary entitled The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star.
This documentary detailed the behind the scenes aspects of the beauty world, from making business calls to brainstorming shade names. When the Conspiracy Collection premiered with an 18-shade eyeshadow palette, named the Conspiracy Palette, fans initially crashed the Jeffree Star Cosmetics website, each trying to get their hands on these makeup products. Within a day, all the products on the Jeffree Star Cosmetics website sold out.
Something similar happened when Shane Dawson launched his online merchandise store, powered by Jeffree Star’s Killer Merch company. Within a day, all the products available for fans sold out. On Nov. 8, Jeffree Star and Shane Dawson announced they would add certain products back to the merchandise store for a limited time. That includes embroidered hoodies, phone cases, and even a new item inspired by The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star.
The re-stock included a new product for fans of Shane Dawson
These YouTubers took the re-stock one step further, adding a new product to their collection. In honor of the beloved “unnamed green shade” briefly shown during The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star, Shane Dawson and Killer Merch created an emerald version of their pig-embroidered hoodie. It sold out within a day. As a result, fans took to Twitter, sharing their love for the YouTuber’s latest release.
“I’m hoping Jeffree Star uses it in a green palette called Blood Money. I keep seeing leaks everywhere don’t know how legit but it’d be pretty awesome,” said one Twitter user.
“I’m gonna have to file bankruptcy with all these drops I hope I can get the green one,” wrote another Twitter user.
Will Shane Dawson’s merch store restock in time for the holidays?
In multiple videos posted to Jeffree Star’s Instagram Story, the beauty guru discussed the challenges of restocking makeup, from finding the correct pigments to building the packaging. For that reason, Jeffree Star said that the Conspiracy Collection will most likely not restock until 2020. There is good news, however, for fans who want some of Shane Dawson’s merchandise.
Although there was already a mini restock of Shane Dawson’s online store, Jeffree Star and Killer Merch reassured fans that the rest of Shane Dawson’s merchandise will be re-stocked in time for Black Friday. That includes the pig head-shaped backpacks, the pig slides, and, presumably, the embroidered hoodies. More information will likely be announced within the coming weeks.
