‘Shark Tank’s’ Robert Herjavec Shares Twitter Post of His ‘Cutest Travel Companion,’ and It’s Not His Wife Kym
Millionaire investor Robert Herjavec of ABC’s Shark Tank is no stranger to traveling. Between filming episodes for the hit reality show, working with his entrepreneurs, and doing the day-to-day business dealings for his successful cybersecurity firm The Herjavec Group, it’s a pretty safe bet that Herjavec has racked up quite a few frequent flyer miles. Apparently, he doesn’t travel alone. Herjavec recently gave a shout out on Twitter to his “cutest travel companion,” but he wasn’t referring to his wife, Dancing With The Stars alum Kym Johnson. So who’s the saucy sidekick?
A real heartbreaker
That hair. Those eyes. Who can blame Herjavec for his affection toward this beauty? Herjavec’s “cutest traveling companion” is the couple’s adorable Bichon Frise, Lola. Herjavec had put up the post about Lola in honor of Take Your Dog To Work Day on June 21, though both he and his wife regularly share pics of their pooch. Lola even has her own Twitter account.
Somewhat of a rocky start
Herjavec and Johnson met when they were paired together on season 20 of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. The two tied the knot in 2016. Johnson already had Lola before she married Herjavec, so the pup had to adjust to a new member of the family. “It was just her (Kym) and Lola for a long time and then I come into the picture, and Lola is very independent and used to sitting at the table for dinner,” Herjavec said in 2016 shortly after the couple tied the know, according to She Knows. “I come along and I’m like, ‘Why’s the dog at the dinner table?’ We’re going through that adjustment phase where Lola and I are trying to figure out where the boundaries are, so I think our hands are full with that right now.”
It didn’t take long for Herjavec and Lola to bond and become fast friends. But Lola didn’t know that there would be more members about to join the pack. When Johnson became pregnant with twins in 2017, the couple did everything in their power to prepare their precious pooch.
After announcing her pregnancy on Instagram in December 2017, Johnson followed up the news by posting a picture of Lola “reading” a book entitled Good Dog, Happy Baby, which detailed how dogs can prepare for a baby’s arrival, according to People.
“Shouldn’t it be the other way around?! Happy Dog, Good Baby… Thank you for the book @deena_katz I have a feeling we’re really going to need this! ,” she wrote in the caption of the photo.
Maybe the book did the trick. By all accounts, all is well on the Herjavec home front with Lola and the twins since their arrival in April 2018.
Some of Herjavec’s best investments have been pet products
Pets have been good to Herjavec both personally and professionally. Whenever a small animal enters the Shark Tank, Herjavec is the first to get up to meet the furry friend. Herjavec obviously has a heart for animals, and tends to invests in companies that benefit pets and educate their owners. And he’s reaped the rewards as well. One example would be his investment in a product called Pupbox, a box subscription service that delivers helpful training products and information to new puppy owners. The company was recently acquired by Petco for an undisclosed amount, as reported by CNBC.
Maybe Lola has some input on those pet-inspired deals!
