‘Sister Wives’: How Much Does It Cost to Stay at Meri’s Bed and Breakfast?
A little over a year ago, Meri Brown achieved her dream of opening her own bed and breakfast. On December 13, 2017, the Sister Wives star hosted the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Lizzie’s Heritage Inn in Parowan, Utah. By her side was husband Kody.

I am beyond excited to announce the opening of Lizzie's Heritage Inn! We had the official grand opening and ribbon cutting on Dec 13. This is an old family home of mine, built by my great-great-grandparents in 1870 and occupied by 4 generations until it sold out of the family in the 1980's. It has been a long time dream of mine to get the home back into the family, and after a lot of work, and when I say a lot, a mean a LOT, it is back in my family where it belongs! I am beyond blessed & excited!! #LivingMyWhy #Family #LizziesHeritageInn https://lizziesheritageinn.com/
While Meri’s goal of going into business for herself has caused some tensions within her family of nearly two dozen – including with her three sister-wives – she decided to forge ahead anyway. Opening the B&B was especially important to her because it allowed her to bring the home, which her great-great-grandparents built in 1870, back into her family. (The inn is named after her great-grandmother.)
A night at Lizzie’s Heritage Inn starts at $125
The bed and breakfast has four guest rooms. They range in price from $125 for Sarah’s Room to $155 for The Grandma Room and the East Room. The Bee Room is $135 a night.
Each room has an attached bath and period furniture like antique four-poster beds. (Some of the B&B’s furnishings actually come from Meri’s family.) Some rooms have fireplaces. While most rooms sleep two adults, one comes with two trundle beds and will sleep four.
According to the inn’s website, it’s the perfect place to “escape the city and come to relax and unwind in a country environment.” It’s also “the perfect setting for a romantic getaway.”

Lizzie’s Heritage Inn is located in Parowan a small town in southern Utah just off I-15. The town was one of the first places settled by Mormons in southern Utah, and is home to several historic buildings, including a sandstone church built in the 1860s that’s now a museum.
The town is 20 to 30 minutes from Cedar Breaks National Monument and the Brian Head Ski Resort, and a little more than an hour from Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. Other attractions, like Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and Dixie National Forest, are nearby.
What do visitors have to say?
Visitors who’ve reviewed their stay at Meri’s B&B had positive things to say. One person on TripAdvisor called the hosts “gracious” and praised the “fabulous breakfast.” Another complimented the “beautifully decorated and period correct” rooms. Other guests mentioned that they enjoyed hearing about the family’s history from Meri’s mother Bonnie, who helps her run the inn.
Meri is running the B&B on her own
While Meri asked for financial help from Kody and the other wives to get the B&B going, it appears that she is the one in charge. She’s the sole owner of the business, according to Radar Online. On the season premiere of Sister Wives, Kody said he wanted to be on the board of directors and be able to tell his first wife “how to run [the business].” Meri resisted that plan, saying she’d rather do everything on her own than have to always consult with the family about the business.
“This is my baby,” she said in her confessional. “They don’t care about the house or the bed and breakfast business. Once I get this house done, I don’t want to have any more business meetings about my house. I want to run my business my way. I don’t want to worry about you guys.”
