‘Southern Charm’: Ashley Jacobs Manhandled Cameran Eubanks in Previously Unseen Clip
Just when you thought she might be gone, Ashley Jacobs finds a way to claw her way back in. Southern Charm fans might know Jacobs as a villain, but she’s been trying — largely without success — to dispel that image. In a series of bizarre behaviors, Jacobs has reached out to several cast members in efforts to rebuild friendships and make amends. Sort of.
During a recent episode of Southern Charm, Eliza Limehouse invited several cast members out for a fox hunt. There, Jacobs tried to make amends with Kathryn Dennis, and wound up spinning Cameran Eubanks around in the air. Suffice it to say, Eubanks was taken aback.
Jacobs tries to apologize to Dennis
Ashley Jacobs is infamous for belittling Kathryn Dennis’ efforts as a mother on Southern Charm. In an argument they had previously, Jacobs referred to Dennis as an “egg donor,” as opposed to a real mother. The comment certainly didn’t earn her any friends, other than Thomas Ravenel, perhaps.
Since then, she’s become something of a villain among Southern Charm fans and cast members, filling the role left behind by Thomas Ravenel when Bravo gave him the boot. When Limehouse invited Jacobs to a fox hunt, it seems she saw it as an opportunity to make amends with Dennis. Or to try to, at least.
Jacobs pulled Dennis away from the hunt, and told her, “Thank you so much for just being, even approachable. I should have reached out to you a long time ago and I just want to say that what I said to you was none of my f****** business. Who am I to tell somebody how they should raise their kids, what kind of mother they are?”
The Southern Charm star continued with, “Listen, we will probably never speak again after this. I just, I owe you an apology. It was never my place to say or do what I did. I mean, I’m not asking for forgiveness, I just want some sort of peace.”
Jacobs claims her family put her on ice
During her apology, the Southern Charm villain went on to tell Dennis that, when she made the egg donor comment, her own family gave her the cold shoulder.
Jacobs told Dennis, “They didn’t talk to me for a while, they were so disappointed in me. My sister said, ‘I’m a mother and if someone said that to me, I’d want to kill them.’”
She went on to claim that she was in Dennis’ corner the whole time. “You have to understand Kathryn, I really wanted you to know that I was not a threat to you. I was never trying to break up your family. I was really supportive of you and Thomas’ relationship. I was your biggest fan, really,” claimed Jacobs.
Dennis had a hard time accepting Jacobs’ apology as a sincere one. She told Jacobs, “You literally said the opposite of that several times. I don’t know how you can go from one polar opposite end of the spectrum to this one. I don’t know if I buy it. I just don’t buy the fact that you’re trying to be nice to me right now.”
Eventually, Dennis seemed to accept the apology. However, during a confessional interview, Dennis said, “There’s no way I can forget all of the s*** she’s said about me. Hell no.”
Cameran Eubanks winds up in the air
Dennis said Jacobs’ arrival at the fox hunt was bizarre to begin with. “She came up to everyone and was like, smiling and on display. It was the weirdest thing I have ever [seen],” she told Danni Baird during the Southern Charm After Show.
Eliza Limehouse claims that Jacobs lives in her own world, in her mind. “In Ashley’s mind, she doesn’t always understand what’s going on. She’s in Ashley-world,” said Limehouse.
“She picked me up and twirled me around. Did they show that?” asked Eubanks during the After Show.
The clip then switched to a recording of Jacobs approaching Eubanks, telling her, “You’re like, really my favorite I want to hang out with you. I want to hang out with you. I like you, I want to like, carry you.”
Jacobs then bent down and scooped up Eubanks under the knees and back as she cried out for help. She then bounced Eubanks around and spun in a circle while saying, “She’s so tiny!”
“She actually physically lifted into the air and spun me around saying, ‘I know we can be friends. I know we can friends,’” said Eubanks. “And I was just like… and then she chased Chelsea [Meissner]. After she put me down, I think she was trying to grab Chelsea. And Chelsea started running.”
All told, it was a very bizarre interaction.
