‘Southern Charm:’ Austen Kroll Calls Craig Conover a Crackhead

Is Austen Kroll dead set on burning bridges wherever he can? It seems as if the Southern Charm star is throwing punches wherever he can land them during the reunion episode. He previously mentioned wanting to call people out during the reunion, claiming his costars haven’t been getting real. Well, he lived up to his goals.

Not only did Kroll make some sharp implications about Kathryn Dennis and her sobriety, he also went out of his way to call Craig Conover a crackhead, revealing Conover’s struggle with Adderall.

Austen Kroll claims castmates hide things

Southern Charm star Austen Kroll is frustrated with his other castmates — according to him, they don’t keep it real on the show. Prior to the Southern Charm reunion episode, he claimed he wanted to reveal who wasn’t being honest.

In a conversation with The Daily Dish, Kroll said, “I just think that lots of people have lots of things to say, including myself. Every year on the reunion, the question gets asked, what are you most nervous about? And I’m like, I’m nervous to get called on my s***. Well, what are you most excited about? I’m nervous to call people on their s***.”

“I’ve been through a lot this season and it only gets worse. Not everyone can say that and that’s OK. I mean, if your life is great and you’re not going through some s***, then that’s great. I’m envious of you. But if you are going through some s*** and it’s not on camera and you’re on this show, that just disappoints me,” Kroll continued.

So far, it already seems like Kroll is trying to lash out against certain cast members — and there may be more to come.

In May, Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis was taken to task by Thomas Ravenel for allegedly appearing intoxicated on Watch What Happens Live. Ravenel said Dennis appeared “highly intoxicated on drugs and/or alcohol” during the episode, according to documents obtained by The Blast

Dennis called the claims “patently false.” She defended herself on Instagram, writing, “I struggled to be still during #wwhl. so much is going on in my life right now and I was anxious and nervous af. [A]nxiety sucksss and It’s important to talk about. that said I gotta tell you how much your support means to me and also how big of a role that it plays when I’m having a hard time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

When the episode of Watch What Happens Live was brought up during the reunion, Kroll said to Dennis, “It doesn’t seem like you remember even being there.”

Dennis did not take kindly to that, and told Kroll, “I haven’t rewatched the episode because I’m too embarrassed to watch it but don’t ever think for a f****** second you’re going to come after me and my sobriety. You better back the f*** up.”

Dennis wasn’t Kroll’s only target. He went straight for Craig Conover as well.

Kroll calls Conover a crackhead

During what looked to be a heated argument, Kroll turned to Craig Conover and said, “Craig, you’re just a crackhead man.”

Andy Cohen then asked Cameran Eubanks, “Cameran, do you think he’s addicted to Adderall?”

Cameran replied, “I think Adderall, yes it is prescribed. But when you abuse it, you mix it with alcohol. And then you mix it with having no sleep, that is a recipe for f****** disaster.”

Craig later opened up to People TV’s Reality Check, saying, “I actually choose to be honest about something that I wasn’t sure if I was going to be honest about, which is just kind of something that I took in law school and was prescribed to and everything, and then should have stopped taking it after law school.”

He added, “That was kind of a moment where I was like, ‘You know what, I’ve been honest the past few years and been completely transparent and I kind of just went with it. So once that was over, I got to kind of sit back and have fun and laugh at everyone else.”
