‘Southern Charm’: Madison LeCroy Dishes on Relationship With Austen Kroll, Claims ‘It Changes Like I Change My Underwear’
When it comes to Southern Charm couple Austen Kroll and Madison LeCroy, no one seems to be sure what’s going on. And that includes Kroll and LeCroy. The on-again-off-again couple has been through several infidelity scandals. Kroll’s friend, Shep Rose, made matters worse by frequently fighting with LeCroy — Rose doesn’t approve of their relationship, after all.
Now, LeCroy is opening up about where she and Austen Kroll stand — if she can figure it out herself, that is.
Austen and his friends
Before anyone can claim otherwise, Madison LeCroy does have plenty of positive things to say about Austen Kroll — it’s clear that they wind up together all the time for a reason. “I love the fact that he has dimples. That’s obviously one of the first things I see,” said LeCroy to Us Weekly. “I like how tall he is. I love his personality. He just makes you feel very welcome, you know? It’s just easy, I guess.”
While LeCroy has plenty to praise when it comes to Kroll, it’s clear that she doesn’t love Shep Rose. However, that’s never pushed her to tell Kroll to cut Rose out of his life, or anything along those lines.
“Austen’s a grown man. He can make that decision on his own. I do tell him that you end up being influenced by the top five people that you hang out with, or even betrayed is the same kind of vibe that they’re giving off. I tell him now, I’m like, ‘Now that you’re a business man, let’s act like it,’” explained LeCroy.
Their current relationship
During the reunion episodes of Southern Charm, LeCroy and Kroll revealed that they have been seeing each other again. They clarified, however, that it’s a friends with benefits sort of situation, for the time being.
“We haven’t had any benefits lately so I would say we are friends right now,” said LeCroy.
“Austen and I’s relationship is complicated, obviously. He has said that multiple times. I think right now he’s focusing on his beer, which is so great. I’m not trying to be in any way … a distraction. I don’t want to say that we wouldn’t revisit this, because we do feel a type of way about each other,” she added.
LeCroy also told The Daily Dish that the two of them are trying to communicate a little bit less, “It changes like I change my underwear: Every day we’re somewhere else. We talk; we’ve gotten better about not talking every single day. We’re almost trying to cut each other off. I hadn’t talked to him in like 24 hours but then last night of course he texted me. And because I was here, he and Craig [Conover] went on their adventure. They’re in New Orleans living it up.”
Shep Rose and Craig Conover aren’t fans
Austen Kroll’s two closest Southern Charm buddies aren’t fans of his relationship with LeCroy, however.
“It is the most unhealthy, exhausting relationship I have ever witnessed,” said Craig Conover during an episode of the Southern Charm After Show.
Rose seemed to echo the sentiment, suggesting that the two of them should simply move on and find other sources of romance.
“Austen is a very nice attractive guy, and she’s attractive too — so go your separate ways! You’ve got options!” said Rose.
“It’s so hard and in my defense, I know how I feel about him and he knows how I feel about him,” explained LeCroy. “A lot of these people that we’re surrounded with have not been around us to see our relationship so I feel that I don’t have to defend my relationship to any of them because it’s like, you’ve never even been around. You hear these bits and pieces; there’s always three sides to every story.”
