‘Southern Charm’: Patricia Altschul Confirms She’s Hunkering Down With Whitney-Sudler Smith

Patricia Altschul from Southern Charm confirmed that she is in quarantine with two of her favorite men.

She responded to a fan’s question wondering where was her son, Whitney Sudler-Smith. “He’s here with me, thank goodness. Michael, Whitney and I have been self quarantined since March 6th. Whitney can do his work from Charleston,” she tweeted.

Indeed, Sudler-Smith recently shared a hilarious video from Altschul’s home. Friends Austen Kroll and Craig Conover came by to say hello, but Sudler-Smith insisted the guys remain 30 plus feet away. Conover and Kroll were recently seen dining out and Sudler-Smith didn’t want to take any chances.

“Austen if he goes to the fish market in Wuhan, the bats will flee and panic,” Sudler-Smith remarked. “He’s a walking petri dish. It’s true, I’m not lying.” Sudler-Smith added, along with his video, “Practicing Social Distancing with  @krollthewarriorking and @caconover If you have to see someone – like I have, stay at worst 30 feet away. #besafe.”

Hunkered down but still in style

Being quarantined doesn’t mean you have to completely abandon every daily routine. Butler Michael Kelcourse is still creating his fabulous cocktails for the family and has now designed a Southern Charm quarantini.

“We’re actually taking #coronavirus quite seriously and have adopted a self imposed quarantine,” Altschul wrote along with her video. Kelcourse is seen wearing gloves and using kitchen tongs to add a straw to the martini glass. He and Altschul joke about how he’s standing six feet away.

“Oh, Michael, you’re bringing me my quarantini,” Altschul says to Kelcourse. Then adds, “I guess you just set it down on the table.” Kelcourse jokes, “And then I run.”

Kelcourse has shared the secret behind his legendary martini. He adds French vermouth and Altschul’s favorite is Boissiere, Bravo’s Style & Living reports. Apparently Boissiere adds “a subtle floral, citrusy flavor.”

She knows how to prepare for a disaster

Altschul has given fans a glimpse into how she preps for a disaster on two recent occasions. Altschul didn’t wait until the last minute to get pandemic supplies and hit Costco in early March. “Getting prepared in case the corona virus hits,” she wrote along with a photo of her shopping cart. Altschul’s cart includes Veuve Clicquot champagne and toilet paper.

A few Bravolebs fully appreciated how Altschul shopped. “This is how I provision as well,” Courtney Skippon from Below Deck responded. Reza Farahan from Shahs of Sunset also noticed Altschul brought the right bag along for the shopping trip too. “Birkin at Costco! Love you @pataltschul 🙏🏼❤️,” he replied to her post. Southern Charm cast member, Cameran Eubanks added that she was just at Costco and would have bought Altschul a hotdog.

When Hurricane Dorian threatened Charleston, Altschul also hit Costco. And yes, champagne was always on the list. “Stocking up on hurricane supplies at @costco#champagne #batteries #pet #toys,” she wrote on her Instagram post. She added a video to her post too.  “So I’m here at Costco,” Altschul said as she strolled through the warehouse store. “It’s crazy today. And I’m getting hurricane supplies. Champagne, batteries and pet toys.”
