‘Southern Charm’: How Shep Rose and Craig Conover Shamed Austen Kroll At Miss Patricia’s Party

Austen Kroll’s relationship with Madison LeCroy on Southern Charm has been nothing short of tumultuous in recent years. After a major infidelity scandal, the two broke up — and at the time, Kroll was reeling.

Shep Rose and Craig Conover, however, were rejoicing after a fashion. Kroll’s two friends weren’t fans of his relationship with LeCroy, and tried to convince him moving on was a good idea. Now, however, Kroll and LeCroy seem to be back together, and Kroll’s friends are not happy.

So they shamed Kroll. In an incredibly petty turn of events, Conover and Rose brought two specific women to Patricia Altschul’s cocktail party. With friends like these, who needs enemies?

Kroll’s video scandal

Last year, Southern Charm star Austen Kroll was faced with an incredibly compromising video. A woman on the scene recorded a video of Madison LeCroy confronting Austen Kroll about having two women in his house.

In the video, one of the women claims that they did not sleep with Kroll, to which LeCroy replies, “So then why are your panties lying by the bed?!”

Much of the video consists of Kroll calling LeCroy crazy on repeat while she freaks out about the two women in Kroll’s house.

In a chat with Entertainment Tonight, Kroll claims, “So, I guess what I can say is that was very early on [in our relationship]. [That was] Madison and I trying to figure out what we were. We both hadn’t done the, you know, ‘you’re my girlfriend, and you’re my boyfriend’ talk, right?”

Certainly, the entire event reflected poorly on Kroll, and his relationship with LeCroy has been on the rocks since, only recently seeming to resolve itself.

Shep Rose and Craig Conover bring the ladies

Fans and castmates alike were shocked when Craig Conover and Shep Rose showed up to Patricia Altschul’s cocktail party with two special dates in tow. While Austen Kroll had caught wind of Shep Rose’s plan ahead of time, he was still mortified to see Rose and Conover arrive with the two women from the now infamous threesome video.

As Rose and Conover climb the stairs to Patricia Altschul’s party, the childlike glee and anticipation on their faces is apparent. The two seem overbearingly smug about what they’re about to do to Kroll.

Kroll looks shocked and mortified when they arrive, and repeatedly tells LeCroy how much he loves her — clearly feeling insecure about something.

Eventually, Conover seems to feel guilty about what’s going down, and excuses himself to sit on the stairs and consider how perhaps he shouldn’t have hitched himself to Rose’s plan. Conover told Rose, “I didn’t know this was all a ploy for your inferiority complex.”

Kroll made it clear to Rose that their friendship was harmed by his choice of dates. He tells Rose, “This friendship is in total ruins. Don’t let the door hit you, pal.”

Cast members react

Reactions to the choice were somewhat divided among the Southern Charm cast. During a Southern Charm After Show clip, Kroll says, “Shep you f****** a******, I mean, what a f****** a******.”

“I thought it was funny,” laughed Cameran Eubanks in return.

“It is petty but it was sort of appropriate,” said Rose. “I dunno, I thought it would be funny.

“They’re basically trying to say that their relationship is a joke, so I’m gonna make a mockery of it. But I think there was also part of Shep that wanted to get back at her for crazy things she had said, and he had no qualms doing it,” said Danni Baird.

“That was gross, I mean that was s*****, and obviously just trying to hurt Madison and Austen. Like I dunno, it was just a dirty move,” said Naomie Olindo.
