‘Southern Charm’ Star Kathryn Dennis Reveals Thomas Ravenel Forced Her to Hide During First Pregnancy

Just when you think you’ve heard the last of Kathryn Dennis’ and Thomas Ravenel’s drama, something new floats to the surface. Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis recently revealed that she was forced to hide her first pregnancy with Thomas Ravenel from the public.

Dennis has also recently revealed that she actually had an abortion during her stay in a rehabilitation center following a failed drug test in court.

Forced to hide her pregnancy

Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis broke up in 2016 — and the two Southern Charm celebrities have been fighting over child custody since then. It turns out, however, that Ravenel was concerned over Dennis’ first pregnancy, even embarrassed, perhaps, to be seen in the public eye with her.

Dennis claims Ravenel essentially forced her to leave her friends and family behind during her pregnancy, in order to hide it. Dennis told People, “I was removed. He moved me immediately to a different state, kept my pregnancy a secret until the day I gave birth.”

Kathryn Dennis was 22 at the time, and she welcomed daughter Kensie into the world in 2014. “I received a call in the hospital bed,” continued Dennis. “And then it was, ‘Okay, now people know.’ It was just very, very odd circumstances.”

According to Dennis, Ravenel never truly supported her during that time, leaving her feeling listless. She said, “I felt sad and scared and lonely and confused and quarantined and isolated,” she says. “I was just trying to understand what was going on with the other person —feeling actually happy looking at my child while the other person was not necessarily present, even mentally.”

Dennis’ abortion during rehab

Thomas Ravenel has previously claimed that Kathryn Dennis used her time in rehabilitation as a cover for obtaining a secret abortion. Kathryn Dennis recently set the record straight on that matter, however.

The Southern Charm star clarified that rehabilitation was, indeed, rehabilitation. Dennis stated in an affidavit, “I was diagnosed with menorrhagia and had to have a D&C procedure to remove the uterine lining buildup and a mass left from the February procedure. This medical complication arising from the February abortion occurred while I was in rehabilitation, but I still finished the 30-day program and was discharged. I was not pregnant while in rehabilitation.”

Dennis has explained that she decided to terminate the pregnancy when it became clear to her that her relationship with Thomas Ravenel was headed downhill. The Southern Charm star has since opened up about the fact that Ravenel was actually intoxicated when he came to see her in the hospital during Saint’s birth.

Thomas was ‘coked-out’ the night of Saint’s birth

It seems as if Kathryn Dennis isn’t the only one with substance abuse problems. Thomas Ravenel has actually spent ten months in jail after being charged with purchasing under 500 grams of cocaine with intent to distribute.

However, Ravenel’s love affair with the drug didn’t end there. According to Dennis and Ravenel’s former nanny, Dawn Ledwell, Ravenel arrived at Dennis’ bedside on cocaine.

During a deposition, Dawn Ledwell brought forward information detailing how her friend, an Uber driver, picked up Ravenel after a wild night out. “They wanted to party. They were all intoxicated … they were doing cocaine in her car,” said Ledwell.

“Thomas was the last person to be dropped off and he wanted to give her a tour of his house. … She’s trying to convince him to go to the hospital. Like, ‘Dude, if you’re celebrating the birth of your baby, you need to go to the hospital and spend time with the baby. Wasn’t the baby born early?’” Ledwell continued, “And so he’s like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, will you do me a favor? I’ll pay you $500 to clean the cocaine off my face and wipe it off my clothes.”
