‘Stranger Things’ Star Reveals if Season 4 Will Be ‘the Scariest Season Yet’
They might’ve defeated the Demogorgon, but their adventures are far from over. Stranger Things season 4 is on the horizon and although Netflix released a teaser trailer, many subscribers are wondering what challenges are left for Mike, Eleven, and Hopper.
What’s next for these characters from Hawkins? According to one actor, plenty of “scary” adventures not yet explored in Stranger Things. Here’s what we know about season 4 of this Netflix original.
‘Stranger Things’ season 4 is coming to Netflix
Their adventures aren’t over just yet. Viewers will return to Hawkins, Indiana for new episodes of the Netflix original series, Stranger Things.
Created in part by the Duffer Brothers, along with Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and Iain Paterson, these new episodes will feature many returning cast members, including Millie Bobby Brown as the supernatural being, Eleven.
Although some fans debate just how scary Stranger Things is, one cast member confirmed that these new episodes will bring new scares for the characters.
1 ‘Stranger Things’ cast member said this will be the scariest season yet
There was the Mind Flayer and the Demogorgon. Thanks to Eleven, though, characters like Mike, Will, and Lucas enjoyed part of their school experience like normal kids. Another member of their AV Club was Gaten Matarazzo’s character, Dustin Henderson, who appeared in the first three seasons of this Netflix original.
When it comes to future episodes of Stranger Things, this actor returns to portray his lovable character. In an interview with Us Weekly, Matarazzo couldn’t share much, but he summed them up with one word: “yikes.”
“I think most would probably say it’s the scariest [season] out of the previous three, which I love because it’s very fun to film,” the actor said.
Will there be a ‘Stranger Things’ season 5?
Season 4 of this Netflix original series has been somewhat delayed, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and filming restrictions. However, thanks to an interview with the show’s creator, fans learned that season 4 won’t be the end of the Stranger Things series.
“Season four won’t be the end,” Ross Duffer said to The Hollywood Reporter. “We know what the end is, and we know when it is. [The pandemic] has given us time to look ahead, figure out what is best for the show. Starting to fill that out gave us a better idea of how long we need to tell that story.”
Although fans don’t know the contents of season 4, they did somewhat learn about it from 2020’s teaser trailer — a clip of Hopper in Russia. Presumably, more information about the release date for these new episodes will be announced in the coming weeks.
Until season 4 of Stranger Things premieres, three seasons of this spooky, ‘80s-themed series are available for binge-watching on Netflix. To learn more, visit their website.
