Still Haven’t Subscribed to Disney+? This Cyber Monday Deal Might Change Your Mind
Disney+ has been around for less than a month, but 10 million people have already signed up for the new streaming service. That’s a lot, and it puts Disney on track to hit its goal of reaching 60 to 90 million subscribers by 2024, noted The Motley Fool.
If one look at Baby Yoda wasn’t enough to get you to join the masses and add Disney+ to your streaming lineup, the company has decided to sweeten the pot a bit on Cyber Monday. On Dec. 2, new subscribers can save $10 on an annual Disney+ subscription.
Get Disney+ for $59.99 a year
Disney’s one-day-only Cyber Monday offer is likely the cheapest price you’ll get for a Disney+ subscription. New subscribers who sign up today will pay $59.99 for the first year, or $4.99 per month. That’s $10 less than the normal price of $69.99 a year.
There are a couple of things to note about the deal. For one, this isn’t a monthly subscription; you must pay the $59 upfront. It also doesn’t include a free trial period. If you’re on the fence about subscribing, you might be better off opting for the 7-day free trial. Then, if you like the service, you can sign up for a monthly subscription at the regular price of $6.99 per month. There’s also no Cyber Monday discount on the Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN bundle, which costs $12.99 per month.
What you get with Disney+
Your $59.99 investment gets you a ton of content. The Disney+ library includes close to 500 movies and more than 7,000 TV episodes. You can watch tons of classic Disney films, from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to Moana, many (but not all) Marvel movies, and originals like the live-action Lady and the Tramp and the Star Wars series The Mandalorian.
Get Hulu for $1.99 per month
If the family-friendly content on Disney+ isn’t your thing, Disney has another great Cyber Monday deal for new Hulu subscribers.
People who sign up today can get Hulu for $1.99 per month for 12 months. That’s $4 off the normal monthly price of $5.99, a $48 yearly savings. The deal is only good on Hulu’s ad-supported plan. (If you want to go ad-free, that’s $11.99 per month, while the Hulu + Live TV bundle is $44.99.) The offer is only available to people who have either never had Hulu or who have not been subscribers in the past 12 months.
What you get with Hulu
Hulu subscribers get access to original series like The Handmaid’s Tale, Dollface, and Castle Rock. You’ll also be able to watch recently aired episodes of new shows like Bob’s Burgers and This Is Us as well as past seasons of 30 Rock, Cheers, The Golden Girls, 24, and CSI: Miami. Hulu also has a ton of movies, including Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Shrek, I, Tonya, A Quiet Place, and Sorry to Bother You.
