Brian Cox plays Logan Roy in ‘Succession’

Succession follows the dysfunctional Roy family, and Brian Cox’s character Logan Roy is the patriarch. In the first season, Roy surprises his children by announcing that he does not intend to step down as CEO of Waystar Royco. He has a stroke soon after and his children battle for control of the company in the wake of his health scare.

Cox is an actor who needs no introduction, with a long list of acting credits dating all the way back to the 1960s. His first big break came when he portrayed Dr. Hannibal Lector in Manhunter in 1986, according to IMDb. He also won a Primetime Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series for his portrayal of Hermann Goering in Nuremberg.

Cox hilariously recreated a scene from ‘Euphoria’

Although Cox has acted on stage and in TV shows and movies for decades, portraying a teenager in a show like Euphoria isn’t exactly his typical wheelhouse. However, Cox surprised everyone when he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and reenacted a scene from the raunchy HBO series.

In Euphoria Season 2, Cassie Howard starts sleeping with her best friend Maddy’s ex-boyfriend Nate behind her back. She goes to great lengths to impress Nate, waking up at 4 a.m. every day to primp and preen so he will notice her. Unfortunately for Cassie, her plan doesn’t work and she begins to crack under the pressure of keeping her secret.

In one scene in Euphoria, Cassie breaks down in front of her friends at school. Cox recreated this scene, although the Scottish actor added a little flare of his own. Instead of sniffling in front of the mirror at the end of the scene, he added, “Don’t f*** with me Maddy. I’m one crazy-a** b****” and aggressively chowed down on an apple. The scene was made even more hilarious by the tiny knot tied at the bottom of Cox’s shirt.

Succession and Euphoria fans alike enjoyed the perfect parody that Brian Cox delivered. “Love what an amazing actor he can be while also be completely up for having a laugh,” one Reddit user wrote. “The crossover I never knew I needed and now can’t stop thinking about,” another added.
