Taylor Swift and Netflix have an explosively exciting option for those who haven’t locked down their plans for New Year’s Eve. In a surprise announcement, Swift posted to Instagram she will air her concert film on Netflix at midnight PST on New Year’s Eve. From the teaser trailer Swift posted, this concert looks like the perfect way to get the party started. Or continue the excitement well into the dawn of 2019.

The concert will feature her smash tour, Taylor Swift’s reputation Stadium Tour, which kicked off in Glendale, Arizona. Procuring tickets to a Taylor Swift concert have recently become increasingly difficult. Which makes this Netflix special the holiday gift that keeps giving.

Rumors started last month

In November, fans leaked that Swift might be filming her show for a Netflix concert. One Instagram poster signed a consent document giving permission to appear on Netflix. “Had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get into RepRoom at the Tokyo’s Reputation Stadium Tour (20/11) and meet the “Gorgeous” @TaylorSwift,” Instagram user, benjiswift wrote on Instagram. ” Thank you for being so warm and attentive when I met you, you gave all your attention to me as I nervously tried to string sentences whilst being starstruckked. Thank you for listening to my dreams and hopes to maybe one day photographing you in the future.”

The post continued but ended with, “Ps – I can’t wait to see the tour again on Netflix ;) (edit; just a rumor but I hope so!!).”

This is where she filmed the Netflix concert

The Instagram user was right on the money. Swift was secretly filming the Netflix concert in Dallas, Texas, Good Morning America reports. Billboard raved about the concert and how Swift gracefully transitioned from the teen pop star to a serious force for fans of all ages. The sets are awesome. But not over the top. “Massive screens display 2-D images that almost feel 3-D, and the things that are 3-D — gigantic snakes, an oversized seesaw, a (working) fountain — almost make you ask, ‘How is that real?'”

And is the highest grossing concert in history

The Reputation Stadium Tour is officially the highest-grossing tour in U.S. history, Forbes reports. From May through October, Swift’s 38 performances sold over 2 million tickets, grossing $266.1 million. Which makes the tour the highest grossing U.S. tour in tour data tracking history.

The only tour that comes close to Swift’s box office success was The Rolling Stones A Bigger Bang Tour from 2005 to 2007. The band played more than double of the shows Swift booked. Her huge financial success may be a bit of poetic justice as she dominated Kayne West‘s 2013 Yeezus tour record of a mere $25 million over 18 shows.

Get ready to party

From the trailer, the show is going to blow fans away. The music, the drama, and dancing promise to make it a New Year’s Eve for the books. Swift also made the Netflix announcement on the heels of celebrating her birthday. “Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes! Today I finally get to show you something we’ve been working on for a while… the trailer for the Reputation Stadium Tour! The entire concert film will premiere on @netflix at 12:01AM PST December 31.”

Fans can also expect appearances from other stars. “You made this tour so insanely fun for all of us on stage, and I’m really excited that we will have this memento of the memories we all made together this year,” she continued in her post. “I also got to share the stage with such wildly talented people @camila_cabello, @charli_xcx, my band and dancers who shine so brightly in this film. You’re the best. Thank you for everything.”
