‘Teen Mom 2’: Jenelle Evans Admits She Reached Out to David Eason to Win Him Back
Jenelle Evans is back with David Eason once again. After months of denying that the two were working on getting back together, Evans has finally come clean about her relationship with Eason. But how did the former Teen Mom 2 star go from announcing that she was starting divorce paperwork to taking Eason back?
Jenelle and David Eason’s breakup
Once Eason and Evans got married, Eason started causing trouble for Evans. He got kicked off of Teen Mom 2 for making homophobic remarks and then later caused Evans to get released from the show after he killed her dog in front of her kids. Fans had been hounding Evans to break up with Eason for months before she finally did it.
“I’ve mostly kept off social media the past few days because I’ve been focused on making some big life decisions,” she wrote in October in a now-deleted post on Instagram. “I’ve lived my life on camera since I was 17 years old. And a lot of it hasn’t been pretty. But it’s been my life. I know I need to make changes. I’m starting that now. The kids and I have moved away from David. Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that’s what is best for me, and for my kids. Today I’ve filed papers to start that process.”
“I appreciate the support from everyone who has asked how I am,” she continued. “Me and the kids are doing great. We need some time to be together. But you’ll hear from us again soon.”
Jenelle and David get back together
It wasn’t long before Eason and Evans were seen together again. Pictures surfaced of the two hanging out together and even buying a new dog bed. At first, the two claimed to be hanging out for their daughter, Ensley’s, sake. But in a video posted to YouTube on Mar. 21, Evans admitted that she was back with Eason.
“Yes. Me and him are deciding to work things out right now. We’re taking it slowly,” she said.
How did they get back together?
Though Evans claimed that she needed to get away from Eason when announcing their breakup, she is the one that pursued him to reconnect.
“So while I was in Tennessee, I’m not going to lie. I contacted David first and I told him, ‘I said I’m sorry,'” she said.
“He contacted me back, saying, ‘[Apologizing] for what?’ And I said I think we ended things abruptly and I think we need to try to work things out for our family and our marriage,” she continued. “And he said, “Okay.”
“So once we started talking again, you know he did come visit two or three times and when he did, I told him, ‘Things have got to change. We cannot be so unhappy. We have to start communicating with each other about our problems and we have to sort it out. We can’t let the same thing keep happening,’” she told the camera.
Evans claimed that things are now different between her and her husband.
“A lot of things have changed,” she said. “Me and him have decided to just try to remain positive no matter what and if we have an issue, we try to talk it out.”
