‘Teen Mom 2’: Kailyn Lowry Addresses Engagement Rumors Once And For All
Kailyn Lowry is not engaged
“I’m not engaged. I’m not engaged at all,” said Lowry, laughing. “Not even a little bit, so yeah, no weddings for me anytime soon.”
But marriage has definitely been on the brain for Lowry as of late. In a recent episode of Teen Mom 2, Lowry told her friend and Coffee Convos co-host Lindsie Chrisley that she’d been thinking about whether she’d want to get married again.
“I’d given it a lot of thought over the last, probably several weeks. Like, if I was to get, like, married again, I don’t know that I would go legal with it. I think I would do like a commitment ceremony,” said Lowry.
Lowry also tweeted in September that she’s “ready to be a wife & be w my best friend forever.”
However, it looks like Lowry won’t be rushing down the aisle anytime soon.
“I think that 2020 is for Kail to focus on Kail, and get everything in order before having more kids,” she said.
“I feel my relationship and marriage were rushed and under extreme pressure. I think things would have been completely different if we didn’t have the pressure of all of our viewers from the show and from so many outside opinions,” she wrote.
Lowry continued: “I knew going into the marriage with Javi that I would regret it. We were fighting constantly and not even sleeping in the same bed. I was overcome and filled with doubt at all times. I was trying to convince myself that things would get better in time, but they never did.”
Kailyn Lowry would like to have another child someday
Lowry has been open about wanting more children in the future, but she’s also said that she doesn’t want to have another child until she’s married.
But even after Lowry’s done having kids of her own, the reality star’s said she’s considered being a gestational surrogate.
“I’ve definitely said that I would do it in the past,” she said. “That’s definitely something that I’ve said. But again, it’s like where do you even start? How do you know if it’s the right decision? Like how do I know? How do you know when you’re done having your own children if the option is still there? I think I could be a surrogate. I want to complete my own family first, but I definitely would do it.”
