‘Teen Mom’: What to Expect in Season 6
The newest season of Teen Mom is back with a lot more drama. Whether you genuinely love the reality show or love to hate it, there are many crazy things that will happen in the sixth season that will make it hard to turn off.
We ended the fifth season with one of our famous teen moms getting engaged. Now it looks like that relationship could end while another couple might be walking down the aisle instead. There is also someone who ends up making the big decision to go to rehab. So what will we see this season from the original cast? Here’s what to expect.
1. Taylor proposes to Maci
Taylor and Maci have been dating for three years. He finally got down on one knee in January and now we get to see how it all went down. If you have been keeping up with the reality series then you probably already know that the two are expecting a child together. We will probably get a peek into the pregnancy as well.
“I found out I was pregnant with baby number three right after we got engaged,” the redhead told US Weekly. But it sounds like this time things will most likely run smoothly. “Because it’s the third one, you know what’s going on. You’ve been there, done that a couple times now, so it’s sort of laid back.”
We won’t however, get to see the birth of the new child since Maci is still pregnant. However it should be interesting to see more of the cute couple’s relationship and growing family.
2. Catelynn struggles with weight loss and depression
Catelynn and Tyler are still going strong. In the preview of their new season you can see Catelynn thinking about trying Weight Watchers again. Sadly, Tyler seems to try to help her through the process by questioning the portions of her meals.
In the preview you can see Tyler joke that he doesn’t want a “heifer” for a wife. A producer off-camera then tells him he shouldn’t make fun of his wife over how she eats. It looks like Tyler can see how bad his actions were. He tweeted, “Currently in therapy to work on my delivery of messages & opinions. Yes I know I’m a prick but I admit it instead of defend it #ImAnA**hole.”
Many fans were rightfully angered by Tyler’s comments. Especially since Catelynn checked into rehab for depression and anxiety in March. She stayed for a month before leaving. The whole rehab stint is going to be shown this season. This isn’t the first time that Catelynn has struggled with depression, she also struggled with postpartum depression after her pregnancy.
During her stay at the rehab facility Tyler did make a statement on Instagram in a caption of a picture of him with their daughter. “This past month has been a little rough by myself, but nothing I wouldn’t do all over again for my family. Cate’s health, safety & security, has & always will be my main priority. I love you Babe & can’t wait to kiss your face & hold you in my arms again! #BaltierraFamilyStrong.”
3. Farrah and Simon continue to argue
The couple have been off and on for a couple of years now. In order to work out their problems the couple has gone to therapy. Farrah has talked openly about their journey and sessions with Dr. Jenn.
“I mean right now we are under Dr. Jenn’s orders,” the reality star told People magazine. “Dr. Jenn is our therapist. Really just take it one day at a time right now.” She then continued, “We are doing [therapy] on our own right now. You’ll probably see that on the upcoming season of Teen Mom OG.”
It looks like the two aren’t the only ones butting heads. In the first episode Farrah’s mother, Debra Danielsen confronts Simon head on. “One of my greatest needs is respect,” Danielsen tells him. “So if you f*ck with my respect, it doesn’t make me happy,” she tells Saran. “So … I’ve never once been [convicted] of anything [for] domestic violence, of hurting anybody. Like, you think I’m a liar and like I’m full of bullsh*t.”
It seems like Simon or someone else brings up the fact that Farrah’s mother was arrested in 2010 for assault. She allegedly held Farrah by the throat and “hit her along the side of her head and hit her in the mouth” according to the police report.
This isn’t the first time the mother and boyfriend have exchanged harsh words. Previously Danielsen said his actions could lead to violent behavior. “You’re almost a mirror image of [Farrah’s dad] Michael [Abraham],” she said. “Almost uncanny, the personality type. So there’s things like passive-aggressive behavior. There’s things like anger that comes from that. That scares me, okay? Because that’s all forms of domestic violence.”
4. Amber deals with Matt’s exes
Matt and Amber met on Twitter before they started dating. Eventually their relationship came serious enough that he proposed on-screen in a booth at Betty’s Diner. Now, we get to see how the couple is doing in the new stage of their relationship.
The two are planning to walk down the aisle, but that doesn’t mean they’ll have a smooth road getting there. Matt has five kids of his own, or so he says. Over the past few months some of his exes have come forward saying he is overdue in child support and has more kids than he claims.
According to Radar Online, Jeanette Reedy said she has a 7-year-old daughter with Matt and that he hasn’t seen her since she was a baby. She also claimed that the two were married for a year in 2007 and broke up while she was pregnant, according to the website Starcasm. It looks like we’ll get to see Amber’s reaction to all of this striking news. “All of his crazy exes are coming out,” Amber tells her ex Gary in the preview for the season. “Why are there so many different stories?” we see him ask.
It’s up in the air whether the couple will actually get very far with the wedding planning, but in the show’s preview we hear her talk about eventually getting married to Matt.
