‘Teen Mom’: Fans Feud with Jenelle Evans After She Takes in a Pregnant Dog
Jenelle Evans seems to always find a way to anger people but fans of the former Teen Mom 2 star get especially upset when it comes to Evans and animals. Evans was fired from the show after her husband David Eason shot a dog in front of her kids so pets are a sensitive topic for the family. Now, Evans seems to have taken in a new dog and fans are not happy.
David Eason shot the family dog
After rumors of the incident with the dog started floating around, Eason finally admitted to shooting the small animal.
“It was a situation where my daughter, her health, her safety was in danger,” Eason told People TV’s People Now.
“This was something that nobody wants to ever have to do. The dog was aggressive. Yes, she might not be huge or whatever, but you know when a dog bites a child on the face more than one time, then it should never be around the child again. If you give the dog up for adoption, one day it’s going to be around children again.”
He spoke about the incident again in his and Evans’ YouTube series, “I Have Something to Say.”
“She was a loving dog to me, but she was not loving toward our kids at all,” he said. “I loved the dog, the kids loved it. But she didn’t love the kids. Anytime we were taking a video of the kids riding their bikes, playing outside, we’d have to delete the video, not even be able to post it because she didn’t play nice. She would bite their feet, she would bite the wheels on her bicycle. She wasn’t always vicious, but she had a lot of vicious tendencies. She really was kinda mean. We put up with it for a long time.”
After Eason shot the dog, Evans’ children were removed from her custody for a short period of time and Evans left Eason. Eventually, they were all reunited.
Jenelle takes in a new dog
Evans recently revealed to her followers that she took in a dog after finding it outside.
“Whoever left this dog chained outside being pregnant in 35 degree weather is beyond me but luckily she found us and we gave her a warm spot to sleep since then,” she tweeted. “Don’t leave your animals out in the freezing weather!
When people began questioning if Evans had stolen the dog from its previous owners and if she was breeding the dog, Evans got defensive.
“Wow, now it turns into ‘call the cops on Jenelle for a stray pitbull having puppies'” she wrote. “I did not breed this dog. I did not steal this dog. I gave this dog a home and have been feeding her.”
Some fans questioned why she kept the dog instead of calling animal control.
“Take her to animal control to put her down?” Evans responded. “No, don’t think so.”
Several fans responded to her tweet and informed her about no kill shelters and urged her to take the dog to one so that she and the puppies could have a chance to be adopted.
Evans ignored the comment and insisted that people were just creating drama surrounding the whole situation.
