‘Teen Mom’: How Leah Messer Really Feels About Jenelle Evans’ Possible Return to the Show
Jenelle Evans’ name will always be synonymous with Teen Mom 2 even though the reality star hasn’t been on the show since May of 2019. Viewers got to know Evans on 16 and Pregnant. Since she moved over to Teen Mom, she was steadily keeping the show interesting with the constant ups and downs her life went through.
Fans were shocked when Evans was officially let go from the show after her husband, David Eason shot a dog in front of her children. But now that she and Eason are estranged, there have been talks of Evans returning to the show.
Evans hasn’t always gotten along with her former Teen Mom 2 castmates. In fact, in many cases, she and several of her castmates were feuding. So, how would they feel having her back on the show?
Jenelle Evans gets fired
Evans’ husband had been fired from the show in 2018 but Teen Mom still kept Evans on.
But when fans started getting outraged that he had shot a dog in front of Evans’ small children, the network had to let her go as well.
“We have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019, and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season,” MTV said in a statement to USA TODAY at the time.
Evans was initially surprised and hurt by the news of her firing.
“I was upset, I’m still upset, but this is a new chapter for me and my family,” she told Us Weekly. “It’s shocking still but I respect their decision and have nothing but love for MTV.”
Jenelle breaks up with David Eason
After a rough year with Eason, Evans finally decided to call it quits in Oct. of 2019.
“I’ve mostly kept off social media the past few days because I’ve been focused on making some big life decisions,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “I’ve lived my life on camera since I was 17 years old. And a lot of it hasn’t been pretty. But it’s been my life.”
“I know I need to make changes. I’m starting that now,” she wrote. “The kids and I have moved away from David. Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that’s what is best for me, and for my kids. Today I’ve filed papers to start that process.”
Evans also alluded to coming back to reality television in her post.
“I appreciate the support from everyone who has asked how I am,” she continued. “Me and the kids are doing great. We need some time to be together. But you’ll hear from us again soon.”
How would Leah Messer feel about Jenelle Evans returning?
Leah Messer and Evans didn’t always see eye to eye back when Evans was on the show. But now, Messer is open to having Evans return.
“I would love to see Jenelle in a much better place and be able to share a positive story with many women and men out here,” Messer told HollywoodLife.
“This isn’t entirely up to her, but I support her and her own journey and getting the help that she deserves to have and becoming the best mom and woman that she can be,” she continued.
