‘Teen Mom OG’: Fans Will See Amber Portwood’s Arrest Fallout on 2020 Season

The recent Teen Mom 2 reunion on MTV, hosted by Nessa and Dr. Drew, was chock-full of drama. In particular, Kailyn Lowry nearly got dragged into a major argument between Ashley Jones of Young and Pregnant and the other Young and Pregnant cast members, including recently-signed Teen Mom OG star Jade Cline.

But one of the most exciting moments of the Teen Mom 2 reunion Part 3 was the introduction of the Teen Mom OG sneak peek trailer. Catelynn Lowell Baltierra introduced the trailer, as she was onstage for a special segment to give Teen Mom 2’s Chelsea Houska DeBoer some much-needed advice on struggling with anxiety and depression.

The new season of Teen Mom OG will begin in 2020, but an official premiere date hasn’t been announced by MTV just yet. It looks like the new season will be juicy as ever, especially in the wake of Amber Portwood’s shocking arrest for domestic violence in Jul. 2019.

Maci and Catelynn are shocked by their castmate’s arrest

Amber Portwood’s arrest and eventual conviction for domestic violence will be featured prominently on the upcoming season of Teen Mom OG, at least judging by the preliminary trailer. In the clip, Catelynn calls Maci to see if she’s heard “the news” about Amber.

“What in the hell?!” Maci asks Catelynn incredulously in response. On video chat at the reunion, Cheyenne confirmed that “everything going on with Amber” would absolutely be part of the upcoming season.

Cheyenne and Cory butt heads over toddler Ryder

According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, the Teen Mom OG trailer also features a number of other juicy storylines to look forward to.

Cheyenne Floyd tries to work things out with her boyfriend Matt, for example, while her baby daddy Cory Wharton wonders if their daughter Ryder is really her priority. At the same time, Cory prepares for a new baby with his girlfriend, Taylor Selfridge, who is also an MTV reality star.

Maci and Ryan continue to argue

Maci Bookout and her ex Ryan Edwards also make an appearance in the new trailer for 2020’s Teen Mom OG season.

Maci and her husband Taylor McKinney accuse Ryan and his wife Mackenzie Edwards of only showing up for Maci and Ryan’s son Bentley when the camera crew is there. Taylor even suggests Ryan is just using Bentley “as a prop.”

Catelynn and Tyler are back and ‘in a good place’

Catelynn Lowell Baltierra told Dr. Drew after the Teen Mom OG trailer aired that she and Tyler Baltierra were “in a good place” and happily parenting their kids together.

In a teaser from the sneak peek clip, Catelynn wonders aloud if Tyler will be “weirded out” by her planned surprise. She brings her Teen Mom husband to a field, blindfolded, before he takes it off and wonders exactly what’s going on.

Mackenzie McKee struggles with her husband

Mackenzie McKee, who recently joined the cast of Teen Mom OG after previously appearing on Teen Mom 3, is also featured in the trailer.

It looks like she and her on-and-off husband Josh McKee will continue to navigate their complex relationship in the 2020 season. “I cannot be with you if you have slept with someone,” Mackenzie tells Josh in the trailer. Later, she declares, “He’s a 2, I’m a 10. Let’s just get that out there.”
