The original cast of Teen Mom is back for another season of Teen Mom OG. There is still a lot of drama in their lives, including with Farrah Abraham. Before the season premiere, she even took to social media to claim she had been fired MTV.

She wrote in a Facebook post, “Viacom let me go because as a Business Mogul I act like an adult and part take in adult promotions and activities that other adults do for FREE or in private !” However, two days later, she said she wasn’t fired writing, “Viacom Legal confirms I have not been fired. I have not breached my contract.”

So we will be seeing the reality star on MTV again. In a preview for the new season, she is seen crying due to her tough relationship with her mother. So what exactly is going on and how are Abraham and her mother now? Here are seven things to know about their relationship.

This will be another season showing Abraham’s troubled relationship with her mother. The mother posted a video on her Instagram showing a scene of her talking to her father and another family member while eating. It’s there that she breaks down crying.

“I totally appreciate how easy it is to live with you guys,” she says to them in a clip. “It’s a privilege to have your family and get along. You know, I just haven’t really been used to that. I can’t stay in my mom’s house.”

It sounds like the reality star, her daughter, Sophia, and their pets are living with her father and this family member. The living situation seems good, but Abraham is still struggling with what’s going on with her mother, Debra Danielsen.

Their relationship has been a rollercoaster for quite some time. But things are looking up, given Abraham was recently seen at her wedding.

2. Farrah attended her mother’s wedding this year

Debra Danielsen got married to Dr. David Merz on Nov. 5. Abraham attended the wedding, which was located at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium in Nebraska.

She participated as her mother’s matron of honor, and it looks like everyone was happy on the big day. This was after there were rumors that she wouldn’t show.

3. She claims the rumors that she wouldn’t come to the wedding weren’t true

There were some reports that Abraham wouldn’t attend her mother’s wedding due to their issues, but the reality star claims that isn’t true. “I don’t think I changed my mind about coming,” she told In Touch Weekly.

She then continued, “I just think this is how it should have been done. I don’t need to be pressured by a production company to do things their way or be told how Farrah is. I know that I’m a great daughter. I’m a great person. I’m loving, I’m caring, and I’m awesome. ”

This is a good sign, given the mother and daughter have publicly had terrible exchanges.

4. Danielsen publicly doubted claims that Abraham was raped

Abraham told Daily Mail, “James Deen raped me for his benefit of fame. He conspired against me with others that I thought were my friends at the time and that was very hurtful.” She also claimed the adult actor was abusive throughout their relationship in 2013. She claimed this was later handled privately with lawyers.

Abraham’s father, Michael Abraham, told Radar Online that a lot of Abraham’s actions are due to her dealing with the trauma of being raped. “The rape trauma was during the time she sold the sex tape video to Vivid,” he said. “She was doing appearances at clubs.”

Her mother then went on to publicly doubt this claim by telling Radar Online, “She’s never spoken to me about it. The only thing I had ever heard is that one night she went out to a place and got drunk. Someone slipped something in her drink and she got attacked.” Radar Online then claimed the mother didn’t know if this is “even truthful.”

5. On Marriage Boot Camp, she claimed her mother violently assaulted her

The mother and daughter appeared on the show, Marriage Boot Camp, where Abraham openly talked about their alleged violent past.

“Police officers had a f**king gun to your head because my whole face was bleeding,” the reality star said to her mother in a therapy session. This is most likely referring to a 2010 incident which is addressed in a police report.

6. According to the report, their argument started over child care

The report filed with Council Bluffs Police Department in Iowa claimed the altercation started when the mother and daughter started arguing “over child care issues as well as other problems,” according to Radar Online. Danielson then reportedly threw a shirt which landed on Sophia who woke up and started crying.

The report then said:

The victim was yelling at Danielson over the shirt throwing and Danielson grabbed her by the throat. The victim pushed Danielson’s hand away from her. Victim stated the Danielson then hit her along the side of her head and hit her in the mouth.

7. Farrah has said their relationship is getting better since the incident

There has been some improvement in their relationship since the violent incident where the police were called. Abraham said on Brandi Glanville’s podcast in 2015, “My family and I have such a different dynamic now.”

She continued, “We’ve talked through a lot of our abuse. Not everyone’s a perfect parent, but we do learn and we grow from that. I’m not trying to be harsh on my family because it does make them sad to think back about how they used to be and some of their choices.”
