‘Teen Mom OG’: Why Bristol Palin Is Quitting the Show

Bristol Palin joined Teen Mom OG in Season 7. She wasn’t new to reality TV given she was on Dancing with the Stars and she previously had her own show, Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp.

However, it looks like she will be one and done with Teen Mom OG. This is why she is quitting the show.

When the reality star talked about joining the show, her reason seemed to be about giving hope to other people in difficult situations. That’s because of what she has been through.

If I can sit here and be some sort of light at the end of the tunnel — whether it’s being married to someone with PTSD, or going through a divorce, or trying to juggle single parenthood, then that’s what I need to do,” Palin told Us Weekly.

However, there were certainly rocky moments in Palin’s first season on the show. She eventually decided to address it.

She later said Teen Mom OG is full of “inaccuracies”

The reality star has spoken out against the show while she was on it. She posted on Instagram accusing it of not being accurate.

A reason she wrote in the caption was, “No matter how bad @teenmom tries to portray my ‘life’ ….. my babies, my family, my close friends – they know the TRUTH. I’m a pretty great mom, work my ass off, show up, and hustle everyday to give my kids a pretty great life. @mtvdoesn’t want to talk about faith, show work ethic, or juggling three kids alone, they don’t want to show the humble process of starting over after a divorce, building a career, or any real life issues. All they want with my little segment each week is some fake fill-in Farrah Abraham/Jerry Springer BS, and it’s simply not true.”

She ended the post with, “Every week is a continued disappointment with their inaccuracies and false narratives. I hate getting all emo on you guys but I’ve kept quiet for too long about it. Don’t believe everything you see on TV.”

Season 7 of the show covered Palin’s strained relationship with her ex-husband, Dakota Meyer. They have two daughters together Sailor and Atlee.

Palin said the show isn’t for her and it took away her peace

The newcomer is done after one season. She made an announcement on Instagram about her decision.

She wrote in a caption of a picture of herself, “teen mom OG wasn’t a fit for me, it took away my peace.. and honestly – my peace has a price tag that no one but God can afford $ doesn’t impress me, I don’t entertain bs, and walking away from this show allows God to rebuild me (and my little fam) in the right direction. I have love for all the girls on the show, and wish them the best of luck in all their future endeavors!!”

It sounds like the drama on the show really turned off Palin. Time will tell who will replace her next season.
