‘Teen Mom’: Why Is Farrah Abraham Shading Her Former Co-star Amber Portwood?

If you’ve been following the women of Teen Mom for any amount of time, then you probably know that there is one member of the original cast who just can’t seem to get along with the others. And that’s Farrah Abraham. The reality star has received backlash from both her former Teen Mom costars and the public over her behavior and how she chooses to raise her daughter.

But this time, it isn’t Abraham who is in the hot seat, it’s teen mom Amber Portwood.

What happened with Amber Portwood?

Throughout her time on Teen Mom, Portwood has been in a number of relationships and not all of them have been healthy.

Recently, audio was leaked on YouTube of Portwood allegedly assaulting her ex-boyfriend Andrew Glennon. The incident reportedly took place on July 5th and ended with Portwood being arrested for battery.

The audio was leaked by Katherine Paulson on her Without a Crystal Ball channel. Though Paulson claims that the audio is real and that she received it from a family member of Glennon’s, the recordings have not been verified by Portwood.

The incident all started when Glennon picked up his and the teen mom’s son after waking Portwood up from a nap.

“If you don’t pick him up you f– fat piece of s–, I’m going to f– stab you! Get your fat a– and get him,” Portwood allegedly says in the audio.

“I’m not watching him today, you’re f– stupid,” she continues.

“So you’re just going to throw him at me?” Glenwood responds.

“I’m not going to watch him today after what you did,” she continues.

The couple then continues to argue over security cameras that Glennon had installed in their home.

“You have cameras in my f– room, dude!” Portwood yells. “You have cameras everywhere. What kind of life is that.”

“Babe, we were traveling, that’s why it was in the bedroom,” he responds. “Babe I love you more than life itself.”

“You’re a little f– p–. I bet you if you got in trouble you’d sit there and take on 30 people! Yeah, you would,” she yells.

The argument then continues with Glennon accusing Portwood of attacking him.

“I wasn’t attacking you, Andrew!” she yells. “I will do whatever I f– please. I am five foot f– two and for you to sit there and say I f– attacked you, I will not do this s– again. I have lawyers up the a–!”

Why is Abraham shading Portwood?

As a person who is used to having her own drama, you would think that maybe Abraham would understand what Portwood was going through. But that’s not the case at all. At the 2019 Emmy Awards, Abraham spoke to HollywoodLife about how she hasn’t been in contact with Portwood for a while.

“For one, I do not speak to others who are very vulgar and abusive,” she told the outlet. “I haven’t spoken to her. I think, the last time we saw me with her was her trying to attack me on stage at the reunion, and Catelynn and Maci supporting her in that. I have to say that was a sad way for me to leave it. I think it’s getting worse and in a devastating kind of a way.”

She went on to say that she does wish Portwood the best, but wants her to get help.

“Amber can seek her own help. If she truly desires it, she will seek it herself,” she said. “I’ve just been very hurt from the past scenarios and I’m happy that Gary [Shirley] is with Leah [Shirley],” Abraham said of Portwood’s ex and daughter. “I’m sure her new husband or boyfriend is with her new child. I really hope that, not only Amber, but I hope Catelynn, I hope Maci… gets some help. They seriously need it.”
